Drew Karpyshyn is back at Bioware and will resume his work on SWTOR

Don’t know who this is? Let’s fill in the gaps first for those of you who may not be familiar with his bio.

From the Wookieepedia:

Drew Karpyshyn is a Canadian author and game designer. After working at a credit union for some time, he eventually became a game developer. He joined BioWare towards the end of the Baldur’s Gate series, and wrote the tie-in novel for Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. He stayed with BioWare, where he worked on Neverwinter Nights, and became the Senior Writer on the critically acclaimed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

This Star Wars connection gave him the opportunity to write Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Darth Bane: Rule of Two, and Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil, his first hardcovers. During his time with BioWare, Karpyshyn was the lead writer for both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.

He worked on Star Wars: The Old Republic[4] and wrote two novels set in the same era called The Old Republic: Revan, and The Old Republic: Annihilation. Karpyshyn left BioWare in February, 2012 to work on other projects.

Now for the good news, directly from his Blog Post:

as of this past week, I am back working at BioWare again! For those who don’t know, I spent over a decade with BioWare working on many award winning and fan-beloved games like Mass Effect 1&2, Knights of the Old Republic and the Star Wars: The Old Republic Online MMO. A few years ago I left BioWare to focus on my Chaos Born novels, but now that the trilogy is finished, I’ve decided to come back into the fold.

Well? Good news for all of us! If you have missed his books about SWTOR, you NEED to get them. They are well worth and give us more information on a more global scale of what is happening in the Star Wars Universe around the Great Galactic War.

And as I mentioned the GGW, have you seen this Lore video of mine?
