SWTOR is in here! Wohoo! Disney knows of the game’s existence!

Two days ago, the most official of all official websites about Star Wars posted this article showcasing and describing what the Top 5 (in no particular order) Best Modern Star Warts Games are. This includes titles from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 260 “era” as it is noted in the very beginning of the article.

Surprise, surprise! My (and yours, probably?) favorite game Star Wars The Old Republic did find a place here. Disney may not care much about the title, EA may not care at all about the Gamers and their wishes, Bioware may not have the capacity to keep developing awesome content for it with this limited resources and man power, but the game is noted and… I thought it deserves a spotlight on my website’s news section.

They embedded the Deceived CGI Trailer from SWTOR. Here’s the description, if you don’t want to make the click and read the original article:

If you’ve ever wanted to lose yourself for countless hours in a version of the Star Wars universe that you can live in, then The Old Republic is probably the closest thing you’re gonna get. This MMORPG places you in a galaxy-spanning game world where you live out the life of a number of iconic Star Wars roles. Better still, each of those roles has a completely unique story element, meaning there’s reason to level up and play all of them. Crafted by the same minds behind the excellent Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, this is probably the most story-driven game on the list. Best of all, it’s also free-to-play nowadays, meaning you can try it out right now without dropping a dime.

So, here it is. The list for “Best Modern Star Wars Games” (as posted in the original article):

  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  • Star Wars Battlefront
  • Disney Infinity 3.0
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  • Star Wars: The Old Republic

Well, I quite dislike one or two of these and 2 of them I have, actually, never played. However, it’s not a good idea to list too many personal notes when this is considered NEWS and not a personal blog post :)
