Crisis on Infinite Earths loglines teases many goodies

Crisis on Infinite Earths comes closer with every episode of the Arrowverse. So far we have seen the Monitor in various episodes offering people their deepest and most wanted desires in order to ensure their services.

The Monitor offers

First of all, The Monitor helped save Oliver Queen’s friends but in return Oliver was enlisted to do his bidding. Oliver does so and in the first episodes we see Oliver do whatever it is the Monitor wants. But over the coarse of the first few episodes, we see him build up a bit of a reluctance. Oliver wants to know why he is doing the things The Monitor asks of him.

The Monitor tried to draft The Black Canary by having her sabotage the mission to Russia. However, The Black Canary refused saying that she has reformed and betraying her friends is not longer what she does. Which I found a great reason. There might still be some of that original Laurel in her. The offer he made The Black Canary was to bring back her homeplanet Earth-2.

But the biggest twist of The Monitor’s recruitment drive is the fact that he got Lyla Michaels to work for him. I really don’t know what he offered her or how he drafted her. Ofcourse we have seen hints over the course of seven seasons with the biggest being that Lyla Michaels was codenamed Harbinger. But given the fact that Oliver was visited a world and can do so if he wants by using Cisco’s portal device, I always figured that the Arrow writers made Oliver the Harbinger. No, instead we get Lyla Michaels, the original Harbinger of the show.

What could The Monitor possibly offer her? There is a theory floating around the Internet that says that she is trying to undo The Flash’ consequences of Flashpoint and finding her daughter Sarah in one of the realities of the Multiverse that she will visit before or during Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Supergirl kicks off Crisis on Infinite Earths

The Monitor sends Harbinger to gather the worlds’ greatest heroes – Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow, Batwoman, White Canary, The Atom and Superman – in preparation for the impending Crisis.  With their worlds in imminent danger, the superheroes suit up for battle while J’onn and Alex recruit Lena to help them find a way to save the people of Earth-38. (Episode airs Sunday December 8, 7/8 Central time)

Batwoman on a quest to find Batman and a new Kryptonian?

The group uses Ray Palmer’s invention to track new recruits to help save the universe. The Monitor sends Iris, Clark and Lois in search of a mysterious Kryptonian, while Kate and Kara head out to find Bruce Wayne . In addition, Mia challenges Sara, Rory discovers a hidden talent, and Lex Luthor returns.

The Flash comes up with a plan to save them all

Pariah enlists Black Lightning to help stop the Anti-Monitor after Flash-90 shares what he learned from his battle in “Elseworlds.”  With the help of Black Lightning, Barry, Cisco and Killer Frost come up with a plan that could save them all.  Meanwhile, Iris has a heart-to-heart with Ryan Choi , while Oliver and Diggle return to an old, familiar stomping ground.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will continue in 2020 with Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow ending the crisis and the biggest megacrossover in television history.
