Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: UnBEARably Awesome Achievement Guide

This guide will detail the location of all nine hidden Craiggerbears in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart to unlock the UnBEARably Awesome Achievement.

What is a Craiggerbear?

Before hopping right into the locations, it’s important to talk about why these are in the game as a collectible.

They were made as a tribute to an Artist at Insomniac Games, Craig Goodman, who passed away in 2019 due to brain cancer. As someone that’s played the Ratchet and Clank franchise since the first game, as well as quite a few other Insomniac Games’ titles, the work Craig and the rest of the Art Team(s) put into making these games as beautiful as they are is just incredible.

Craiggerbear

Craiggerbears are simply sewn Teal-colored bears with a few details added to more directly represent Craig Goodman’s passing. A large pink heart is sewn to the front, likely to represent the infectious joy they were remembered for spreading at Insomniac Games. There’s also a notable stitch across the top of the bear’s head, another small detail to reference how Craig passed. I love when a collectible has this much thought put into it.

The Craiggerbear Locations

Each of the locations below will detail where each are, as well as show you their physical location as well as a map for that location. There’s one for each of the nine planets in the game, and most, if not all aren’t too far off Story locations either. They can be easy to miss, but most are easy to return to.

If you wish to try to find them yourself, or simply want a tip on how to do so easier, the best one we can give is to make use of the Accessibility options. Setting all the colors to None, with the exception of Interactables being set to a very noticeable color will make them stand out more (alongside other interactable objects). I personally used Magenta when seeking out the last two I missed on my first time through.

Corson V (Nefarious City)

The first major location of the game, Corson V has one of the more out of the way Craiggerbears. If you’re dutifully exploring though, you’ll come across it very early.

The Craiggerbear here can be found right in front of this vendor, in a lower section of the Nefarious City Marketplace. For easy reference, this location is just to the left and down the stairs from the “Organic Detection” Barrier, which requires Phantom Dash to pass though. From your ship, it’s in the direction directly behind Ms. Zurkon’s shop.

Sargasso (Outpost L51)

Next up is the planet with Rivet’s base of operations, Sargasso. This Craiggerbear does require some backtracking as you’ll need to return to Rivet’s secret base after the initial cutscene that takes you out of the location. You can use a Speetle or the Hover Boots to cross the broken bridge again to access Rivet’s base easily enough.

Sargasso (Outpost L51)

The Craiggerbear can be found relaxing on the couch in Rivet’s base, directly across from the TV. As a bonus, you can interact with the TV in Rivet’s base for an additional Achievement, Lombax and Chill.

Scarsta Debris Field (Zurkie’s)

This one can be pretty hard to miss, considering it’s near the receptionist that holds your weapons while you’re at Zurkie’s and your first visit here has dialogue that keeps you from immediately entering the pub.

Scarsta Debris Field (Zurkie's)

This one notably being inside Zurkie’s does not have a map to pair with it. Thankfully it’s in a very recognizable location just outside of the main pub area as shown above.

Savali (Urfdah Mesa)

This one is slightly tucked away in the middle of a story moment, specifically the Trials of the Mountain. It can be found just after the first trial, in the small area between the first and second trials, tucked in the very back section of this area.

Savali (Urfdah Mesa)
Craiggerbear is absent in this image, but would be right next to these pots.

While it’s mixed in with some pottery, it’s distinct color really makes it stand out quite a bit from its surroundings.

Blizar Prime (Blizar Mines)

This one is right next to the early path through Blizar Prime, right after hitting the third Blizon Crystal and returning to the intact Blizar Prime.

Blizar Prime (Blizar Mines)

It rests in the location shown above, on top of a pile of scrap just to the right of the lock-down terminal you need to access.

Torren IV (Molonoth Gulch)

This Craiggerbear is found in a nice, safe area really early into the level. It can be found in Junktown, sitting on the counter of a vendor’s shop on the right hand side as you pass through.

Torren IV (Molonoth Gulch)

This spot happen to be almost directly across from Ms. Zurkon, so she can at the very least help you find it easier. This one was also shown prior to the game’s release when showing off accessibility features.

Cordelion (Kedaro Station)

This one is near the start of the level, not too far off to the left from the bottom of the third ice slide that you go down after hitting the Blizon Crystal to switch dimensions.

Cordelion (Kedaro Station)

Due to it’s color, being half buried, and behind some scrap it can be easy to miss if you’re speeding through. If you’re taking your time though, it will tend to stand out a bit more due to its location

Ardolis (Pirate Base)

This Craiggerbear is harder to miss as it’s in an area without combat. This one is found just after the Ship Arena Trial. Right after you complete the section and leave to collect the piece of the Robot Pirate Armor, it’ll be just ahead on the right just before the next area.

Ardolis (Pirate Base)

It’s tucked in the corner next to the buried chest, which can make it harder to spot if you’re moving fast through the area. Honestly, I found myself looking around in this room and the one before just to admire the scenery.

Viceron (Zordoom Prison)

The last Craiggerbear for the list is found in this dark and gray area, so you’d think it’d stand out more. Unfortunately it’s not in a very well lit area and is extremely easy to miss. In fact, it’s one of two I had to go back for later.

Viceron (Zordoom Prison)

It’s found in the cells pictured above, though since the cells themselves aren’t lit up like the rest of the room, you won’t see it without getting closer. This area in particular is where you rescue Clank, so if repeating the story or trying to find it on a first play through, this can be a good point of reference.

It’s sitting in the cell, on the bench and faced backwards so the heart isn’t even immediately visible. If you pass close to it, you may see the sparkling effect the Craiggerbears emit before you actually see the Craiggerbear itself.

After collecting all nine of the Craiggerbears, you’re awarded with the “UnBEARably Awesome” achievement. As far as achievements go with this game, this is the only one you have to really work for as Ardolis has a handy item that helps with the other collectibles.
