Lost Ark Founder’s Packs Details and Which to Choose

Wondering which Lost Ark Founder’s Pack to chose? This guide will explain the contents of each one, how they benefit you and which to choose!

With Lost Ark launching soon, now’s a good time to talk about the Founder’s Packs and the benefits they can provide to both your leveling experience as well as your post-cap gameplay. This Guide breaks down the packs that are available, what they offer, and which packs you should consider if you’re undecided but plan to get one.

Lost Ark launches with four tiers of Founder’s Packs. These range from the basic Bronze Pack, all the way up to the Platinum Pack which has a ton of useful items and some exclusive goodies.

Please Note: According to the recent Lost Ark Launch Details, Founder’s Packs will be discontinued at 9AM Pacific Time, February 11th. This occurs the exact time Lost Ark is set to go fully live, so you can only get them prior to launch..

Bronze Founder’s Pack

Starting off with the Bronze Founder Pack, we get a few interesting items. Most notably among them is the 30 Days of Crystalline Aura, which provides a lot of gameplay benefits. Alongside this is Head Start Access, letting you get in on February 8th instead of the 11th. Finally, there’s the Founder’s Exclusive Title and Pet.

Personally, if you’re excited about the game the extra 3 day headstart can help you get some time in before the servers end up packed. They’ll likely still be pretty crowded after launch, but this at the very least can let you get away from the starting zones which will be flooded come launch day. You’ll only be alongside other players that also picked up a Founder’s Pack. So hopefully, fewer stability issues, even though there were very few in the Beta.

The Founder’s Exclusive Pet isn’t a big deal, as it’s like any other pet in the game meaning it collects loot for you. There’s also an early game quest that you can complete that teaches you about pets, and give you a free pet that will do just as fine. Don’t let this be a deciding factor in your purchase if you’re on the fence. If you’d prefer your pet to be a cat, then by all means you can also get a Founder’s Pack for that reason.

Titles earned in-game often give minor stat boosts, but being founder exclusive it doesn’t seem likely this one will. Even if it does, it’ll be a very minor boost like any other title with plenty of titles that offer equal or better boosts.

Finally, the big one is Crystalline Aura. Crystalline Aura is the game’s pay-in premium benefits or subscription-like service. In general, it offers many benefits to traveling around. This includes things like a Triport Cost Waiver, letting you move around most continents and islands quickly; A Discount on using Liners, which help with exploring a bit early on; and the additional Bifrost locations, which lets you set two additional locations you can teleport to as desired.

In addition to travel benefits, there are things that boost your daily activities related to your stronghold, crafting, and NPC Affinity. Reduction to Stronghold Craft Time, Dispatch Time, and an increase to Stronghold Energy Recovery speeds all make it easier to get more out of interacting with your strongholds. Then there’s the bonus to Life Energy Recovery, which affects how quickly you can level Life Skills. The Daily NPC Affinity Interaction can let you boost your Rapport with certain NPCs quickly, and get some extra rewards from them.

Silver Founder’s Pack

The Silver has all the same things as the Bronze Founder’s Pack, but with a few additions. This pack comes with an additional 1,000 Royal Crystals, the paid currency of Lost Ark. It also has a Silver Supply Crate, which gives you a ton of Silver, Potions and other useful items.

The Extra bit of paid Currency is nice, and you can use it to buy anything you’d like from the Cash Shop. I’d personally save it for cosmetics, as there’s not too much reason to get much else from the Cash Shop. That is unless you want to play the game hardcore and run several secondary characters, then Character Slots may be appealing.

The Silver Supply Crate contains 8 separate items: 30 Resurrection Feathers, 10,000 Silver, Adventurer’s Equipment Crate, Gatherer’s Tool Chest, and the Adventurer’s Ascent chests for levels 20, 30, 40, and 50.

Ressurection Feathers allow you simply respawn where you died, instead of warping to a pre-defined area on the map. The Equipment Crate contains a bunch of consumables, these are often saved for the endgame content where they have the most uses and shouldn’t be used early. The Gatherer’s Tool Chest contains a basic set of tools, which will allow you to do Life Skilling right away.

The Adventurer’s Ascent Chest contains potions and some additional Silver. The biggest note with the Health potions is that you should never use the health potions that heal for a percentage before the level cap. These potions are the only ones that are usable for the game’s harder content and are often best saved for those reasons. The Level 50 Chest also contains a few additional boxes with extra consumables that are also more useful to endgame content.

Gold Founder’s Pack

The Gold Founder’s pack features two more additions over the previous tier. This tier comes with a Founder’s Exclusive Skin and an additional Character Expansion Slot. It also comes with 4,000 Royal Crystals, as opposed to the 1,000 found in the Silver Founder’s Pack.

For all intents and purposes, the Gold Supply Crate is the exact same as the Silver Supply Crate. They include all the same items and bonuses. The only thing worth keeping in mind if you wanted to go that far, is that they can both be used. But at that point, you’re better often just getting Platinum instead as it rewards way more.

Northern Lawmaker Skin, Male Variation

The Exclusive Nothern Lawmaker Skin is available to all classes, appearing as a set of fur-lined armor for Male Classes, and a sleeker design for female classes. Both have some Nordic inspiration to their designs, though fairly limited.

Northern Lawmaker Skin, Female Variation

The Additional Character Slot will be good for those that play to play several characters at one time. These will likely also be available in the Cash Shop, so we don’t think it’s worth justifying the purchase alone. This is just an extra bonus if you’ve been eyeing up that exclusive skin.

Platinum Founder’s Pack

The Platinum Founder’s Pack comes with everything found in the Gold Founder’s Pack, with some additional items and changes. This Pack comes with an additional Founder’s Skin, exclusive to the Platinum pack; a Founder’s Exclusive Mount, which looks like Cerberus; and a Platinum Welcome Crate, fille with some extra goodies. There are also a few changes to the Platinum Supply Crate as compared to the Gold Supply Crate.

First, the changes to the Platinum Supply Crate. This Crate offers most of the same things found in the Gold Crate, but gives more initial Silver, Equipment Crates, and Resurrection Feathers. In addition, the level 50 chest includes an additional 300,000 Silver, 10 of each consumable chest from the Gold Crate, 5 Stronghold Activity Relief Chests, and 150 Awakening: Chaos Pieces

The new additions aside from the added Silver here are the Stronghold Activity Relief Chests and Awakening: Chaos Pieces. The Stronghold Activity Relief Chests can quickly help you upgrade various parts of your Stronghold to benefit your characters. The Chaos Pieces allow you to use your Awakening Skills, and ultimately are only saving you a bit of Silver early into level 50, as General Merchants will also sell them for 250 Silver each as well.

There’s also the Founder’s Exclusive Skin, which varies in appearance from class to class. They all look great, though it’s a shame it’s limited to only the first Advanced Class you select.

A view of each of the Platinum Founder Skins.

Above is an image featuring all 15 of the skins. The classes in order from the top-left to the bottom right are:

  • Assassin – Deathblade
  • Assassin – Shadowhunter
  • Gunner – Deadeye
  • Gunner – Artillerist
  • Gunner – Sharpshooter
  • Gunner – Gunslinger
  • Mage – Sorceress
  • Mage – Bard
  • Martial Artist – Striker
  • Martial Artist – Wardancer
  • Martial Artist – Scrapper
  • Martial Artist – Soulfist
  • Warrior – Paladin
  • Warrior – Berserker
  • Warrior – Gunlancer

Then there’s the Founder’s Mount, made to look like Cerberus. Much like the Founder’s Pet, you get to choose the variation you receive. Personally, I’m a fan of just about all of the colors.

Founder’s Exclusive Mount variations

Finally, we come to the Platinum Welcome Crate which has just four items that exclusive to the Platinum Pack. This Includes the Founder’s Exclusive Wallpaper, Founder’s Exclusive Structure, Legendary Rapport Gift Selection Chest, and the Launch Limited Card Pack.

The Founder’s Exclusive Wallpaper is absolutely gorgeous, and this being the only way to obtain it can make it worthwhile if you want options for your log-in screen. It’s a pure vanity item, much like the rest of the items in this chest are.

Founder’s Exclusive Wallpaper

Next is the Founder’s Exclusive Structure. This is a decoration that can be placed in your Stronghold. This structure features a Train sitting on some railroad tracks. While Trains aren’t really my thing, there is quite a bit of detail put into this for being a decoration.

The Founder’s Exclusive Structure

While the Remaining items, the Legendary Rapport Gift and Launch Limited Card Pack so have some gameplay effects, they’re incredibly minor. The Rapport gift will give a huge boost to your Rapport with any NPC you want, so long as you take the correct item. The Card pack will give some minor boosts. Much like titles, you can obtain better by playing. This makes these more a point of saying that you own them, rather than being super beneficial.

Which Founder’s Pack Should You Get?

Honestly, I think this question is best answered by how much time you’re planning to spend with the game. It can vary a bit based on personal preference, but here’s my general thoughts of them.

Bronze is great if you really want the Head Start, and don’t care about much else. Crystalline Aura isn’t a bad thing to get either. Chances are if you’re not going into the game expecting to play it consistently. You’re not paying too much and can it’s not that bad, considering you still get the Pet and titles as well. Generally, it’s better to spend the extra bit and grab Silver instead. If you’re grabbing a Pack after the Head start Period, skip this one and pretend it doesn’t exist.

Silver is the one I absolutely recommend to everyone that’s planning to play for an extended period of time, even if only on one character. The Silver Supply Crate provides you with a ton of free healing potions for both leveling and endgame content which makes it really hard to pass up. Add in the additional Silver and Royal Crystals it grants and it’s a great value.

Gold is the one I’d recommend for those that are planning on playing a ton and making several extra characters. That one Extra Slot can make a difference. The real seller here is having a nice skin to use, even if it might fairly common. This pack also comes with a fair bit of Royal Crystals too, which makes this pack generally worth it as they cover most of the money you might have otherwise used for Royal Crystals.

Platinum I’d only recommend if you’re going to hardcore grind the game or are playing with the “Collector Mentality”. Between the exclusive Mount, Skin, and Wallpaper, this pack has everything a Collector could want as far as exclusive items. The only downside is knowing you can’t get the other 14 skins for the other classes. With the Platinum Supply Crate giving a huge boost in Silver and tons of consumables for the end game, it gives you a lot of resources to work with, long before you’ll actually need them.
