Lost Ark Casual Guardian Raid Event Guide and Rewards

RubyRose by RubyRose|

Ever wanted to fight multiple Guardian Raids at the same time? This Lost Ark event lets you do exactly that, and we’re here to tell you how it works!

This guide has been updated to reflect the April 28th Changes to rewards.

The new Casual Guardian Raid Event has arrived in Arkesia with the March 24th Update, and it’s an absolute blast. Not only do you have multiple Guardian to fight with at once, but there are also a mix of buffs to you and debuffs on them to make the encounters easier. So we’re gonna break the event down and tell you what you need to know.

What is the Casual Guardian Raid Event

The Casual Guardian Raidevent has you fighting a set of three guardians, that change every day. These are chosen and grouped together with a specific theme.

The starting day was Frostblade Infiltrator. This set of three consisted of Frostblade Invader Nacresena, Vertus and Frost Helgaia, or three Ice enemies.

You won’t always be facing all three at the same time, but you will typically face two at a time. This is because the Highlight Guardian, or the one listed at the top of the entrance page, will show up when you’re fighting one of the other two.

This event can be done for rewards only once per day, per roster. This means regardless of which character you attempt it on, the rest will be locked out from rewards. You can, however, still run the event as much as you’d like, but it will not grant additional rewards.

How does Casusal Guardian Raid Work

To participate in a Casual Guardian raid, you must enter via the statue found near the Guardian Raid Board. This Statue will allow you to queue up for the event, or attempt it solo. You need to be Level 50 to access this event.

Inside the Raid itself, it’s helpful to know the mechanics of the Guardians inside, especially the Highlight Guardian. They may be changed slightly from an existing version but only a few attacks typically.

It’s important to know their mechanics, as performing certain mechanics will enable you to receive the extra buffs granted by the boss. In the case of Frostblade Invader Nacresena, its tail will regenerate each time it leaves, which enables you to break it multiple times for easy staggers and event buffs. The Highlight Guardian should take priority as it will make the remaining Guardians Easier by supplying you buffs.

Below is a list of Highlight Guardians that have appeared and what needs to be done to earn the buffs.

Frost Invader ChromaniumDestruction Check
Crimson Attacker CalventusStagger Check
Invader of Winter LevanosDestruction Check
Dark Marauder HelgaiaStagger Check during AoE attack

These powerful buffs will heavily increase your damage output, Attack Speed, Movement Speed, and MP Recovery. They are stacking buffs that will last throughout the fight and stack up to 3 times.

The first of these buffs is called Enhanced Recovery, which reduces your MP costs by 15% and increases your MP Recovery by 20% per stack. The second Buff is called Enhanced Speed, which requires all 3 stacks to be active. This buff will increase your attack and movement speed by 40% and reduce your cooldowns by 70% when active. The last is called Physical Enhancement, which increases your damage by 400%, Stagger Damage by 250 and Crit Rate by 30% per stack.

In addition to the permanent buffs, there are temporary buffs that makes you immune to being pushed by attacks for 20 seconds, as well as one that reduces status effects for 60 seconds.

To break the tail in the case of Nacresena, you need to make use of skills tagged with Weak Point, or make use of Destruction Bombs. I personally advise against using Destruction Bombs unless you have absolutely no Weak Point. If your team has low Weak Point across them, then don’t worry too much about trying to break the tail. If you can manage it, it does help for sure, but not a necessity. It’s still better to save them for Non-event cases.

After all of the Guardians have fallen, make sure you loot the chest that appears to receive your event tokens. Doing so will also grant you progress towards your Weekly Una’s Task for Guardian Raids, if you’ve accepted it.

Exchanging for Rewards

Much like the Akresia Grand Prix Event, this event also has its own exchange vendors called the Exchange Winter Illusion Token NPC. They’ll be located not too far away from the Casual Guardian Raid Event Entrance.

Each daily completion for each character will grant 200-300 Event Tokens. This means to buy out this shop, you will absolutely have to run this event daily to consistently clear it out. This isn’t a big hassle as unlike the Arkesia Grand Prix event, you can enter at any time. No time windows to catch (or miss).

Note: Despite the UI saying the entry is completely spent, this is a bug. Unless the text “Entry limit is completely spent” is red, you can enter and receive rewards.

This NPC carries a variety of items, most of which are honing materials. Below is a full list of items and their costs.

Special Sales Exchange

Special Sales contain mostly the Metallurgy and Tailoring Books for Tiers 1-3. After the April 28th shop changes though, there are now Engraving books here that are worth picking up.

The Majority of the books are found here, listed in order from Tier 1 to Tier 3.

These Tailoring and Metallurgy Books are a helpful way to push to Tier 3, or make your way into upper Tier 3 where you can tackle Abyss Raids. They grant a 10% bonus to Honing CHnace, which makes those final upgrades for the next tier just a bit easier.

To buy out this page of the event shop, it will cost you 500 Winter Illusion Tokens. This is just 3 days of completing the event weekly.

Page 2

This page is the final Tailoring book for Tier 3, along with the new April 28th additions of Card Packs, SIlver, and Engraving books.

To buy out this page of the event shop it will cost you 360 Winter Illusion Tokens, or a minimum of 2 characters of running the event in a day, or 2 runs in a week.

Page 3

This newly added third page contains our Rare and Epic Engraving chests.

This page costs a total of 300 Winter Illusion Tokens per week to fully buy out.

To buy out the entire Special Sales section, it will cost 1,160 Winter Illusion Tokens or 6 days of running the event per week with a single character.

Honing Materials Exchange

As advertised, here you’ll find all the basic materials for Honing. This includes XP Shards, Leapstones, Destruction Stones, and Guardian Stones. This shop, however, does not have the typical Honing Success Chance Materials. This shop only carries the Metallurgy and Tailoring Books.

Page 1

This first page has All tiers of your XP Shards; Harmony, Life, and Honor. It also has Tier 1 and Tier 2 Leapstones.

Honing materials page 1

As with most materials from events, these are bound mats. Make sure to purchase them on the character you want to use them on to avoid any issues or wasted materials. It’s best to avoid buying the Tier 1 materials if you can help it, and only Tier 2 if you need them. Event income is currently limited, so take what you need and leave what you don’t.

To buy out this page of the exchange, it will cost 390 Winter Illusion Tokens. This will take just a minimum of 2 characters running the event in a day, or 2 runs during the week.

Page 2

The second page has your Honor Leapstones, all of your Destruction Stones, and the start of your Guardian Stones.

Honing materials page 2

Similar to the previous materials, buy what you need and skip what you don’t. Due to limited income, put priority on the highest tier of items you need.

To buy out this page of the event shop, it would cost 725 Winter Illusion Tokens. This means running the event for 4 characters in a day, or 4 runs in a week.

Page 3

The final page has the remaining Tier 2 and Tier 3 Guardian Stones.

Honing materials page 3

As said before, buy what you need, skip what you don’t. Keep Priority on the Highest tier you can use.

To buy out this page of the shop, it will cost 300 Winter Illusion Tokens. This is 2 characters or 2 runs of the event in a weeek.

To buy out the entire section of this event shop, it will cost 1,890 Winter Illusion Tokens, or run the event every day of the week.

Buying out the full shop costs 3,050 Winter Illusion Tokens per week. This means if you want to redeem everything, you’ll need at the very least 2 alt characters which complete a total of 15 runs between them per week, or at least 5 days of runs on each character.

Purchase Priorities

While there are not a lot of items here like the Arkesia Grand Prix Event, there’s not enough currency to just buy out the shop if you only have a single character. This means prioritizing what you need will be more important.

If you’re not quite to Tier 3, this will not be a concern, as Tier 3 mats cost the most and you’re locked out of getting them. It will make it easier.

That said the priority here is fairly simple:

  1. Tier 3 Honing Materials (665 total)
  2. Tier 3 Metallurgy and Tailoring Books (280 Total)
  3. Engraving Books (400 total)
  4. Regulus’ Light Currecy Chest (30 total)
  5. Legendary – Rare Card Pack (30 total)
  6. Tier 2 Honing Materials (230 total)
  7. Tier 2 Metallurgy and Tailoring Books (210 Total)
  8. Tier 1 Honing Materials (230 total)
  9. Tier 1 Metallurgy and Tailoring Books (210 total)

It’s really as simple as that. Take everything starting from the highest tier down. I strongly recommend getting your weekly Engraving books prior to getting materials for your alts. By the time this event ends at its updated time, you can take a Class and Battle Engraving from 0 to +9, making it highly beneficial to your roster.

If you need help figuring out which Engravings to pick up, we recommend checking out our Engraving Guide, which details their effects and use cases.

After Engravings, we recommend taking the Silver and Card packs being offered. Silver help with just about everything, but primarily help with honing costs. The Card Packs will help to expand your card options, which are a long-term means of horizontal progression.

There’s enough currency to get everything if you’re running daily with at least 2 characters, or getting 10 runs throughout the week. So if you can manage that, you’ll have no issues with getting what you want from the event
