Star Wars Galactic Pals, is a new series of animated micro-shorts intended to educate the viewers about the behavior of different creatures & aliens aboard the Youngling Space Care Station.
Star Wars is abundant with all kinds of creatures. They all vary in shape, size, color, character, and lifespan.
M1-RE (Miree) and her camera droid Cam-E are going to be our guides in this short and fun show. In each episode, they’ll study and look after some special younglings. The list includes Jawas, Rodians, Gungans, Wookies, Ortolans, Huttlets, Gamorreans, Loth-cats, Rancors, Porgs & Tauntauns. “Miree’s positivity invites fans to engage with these younglings while celebrating what makes them each unique and loveable.”
Jason Stein, creative executive in Animation Development & Production, mentioned how this show was inspired by the success of Galaxy of Creatures. Another animated show that showcases various iconic creatures from the Star Wars universe. “With each short, Miree shares her knowledge with wit, charm and humor that aims to inspire curiosity and interaction.”
We all love Rancors, Tauntauns, Wookies & other species, but there aren’t many places to learn about the most basic stuff. What do they like to eat? Do they sleep too much? Is a species naturally grumpy? This type of question may sound silly in a universe where deep, complex storylines are being created every month but I believe simple things like these add great value.
As you might have noticed, this show’s main target audience is small kids. But if you aspire to be a living Star Wars library you might learn a thing or two from this show! Even if that’s not the case, it’s a very good opportunity to share your love for Star Wars with your children or younger siblings. There’s a healthy balance between jokes, funny moments & & informative dialogue. The first two episodes are now available on the Star Wars Kids Youtube channel.
A total of 12 episodes are going to be released. The first six will be out every Tuesday through April 26. The remaining ones will debut later this year. If this show is successful, I wouldn’t discard the idea of more episodes being made.
With the release of Star Wars Galactic Pals, we also get a new plush line to put your new caring knowledge to work! A collaboration between Mattel and Lucasfilm has brought us a Wookie, Rodian, Jawa and Ewok plushies.
The first four releases of this collection. They come with a vinyl head, big eyes and a soft body. A combination of cartoonish and adorable style makes them something different from what we’re used to.
