Lost Ark - Ark Pass: everything you need to know

With the first iteration of Lost Ark’s Battlepass-type system “Ark Pass” being released, we’ll cover everything you need to know about this new feature!

With April’s “Battle for the Throne of Chaos” Update, Lost Ark has released its much-expected Ark Pass, a Battlepass system for Lost Ark. This short Battlepass gives you roughly 3 months to earn a variety of rewards across three tiers of the pass.

The Premium and Super Premium Tracks for the Ark Pass are available for purchase until June 18th, and the Ark Pass itself expires on July 14th. This means you need to have the Ark Pass completed by July 14th, or you lose out on the rewards it offers.

What is the Ark Pass

Simply put, the Ark Pass is Lost Ark’s Battlepass system. You get a set of rewards that are earnable by just doing daily activities. This pass has 30 levels, and should take approximately a month to complete for most players. It has three tiers, ranging from free, to the more expensive Super Premium.

Each track has its own rewards granted at each level. There is a bigger reward for every 5th level which we’ll refer to as a Milestone Level going forward. These will be gotten over time and are highly rewarding.

Leveling the Ark Pass

In the Ark Pass Menu, you can see a large “View Missions” button that will take you to a list of missions to complete for Ark Pass XP.

These missions are how you progress through the Ark Pass.

You have two sets of missions, Normal Missions and Season Missions. Each of these have varying amount of Ark Pass XP they give, and different challenges

Normal Missions

Normal Missions Grant 30-50 Ark Pass XP, and can be completed as many times as desired. However, there’s a cap of 500 Ark Pass XP that can be gained weekly. These consist mostly of completing Daily or weekly content Including the following Missions:

Complete 3 Daily Una’s Tasks (+30 XP)
Clear 2 Chaos Dungeons (With Aura of Resonance) (+30 XP)
Clear 2 Guardian Raids (with Soul Harvest) (+30 XP)
Clear 2 Abyssal Dungeons (+50 XP)
Particapte in 3 Proving Grounds Team Deathmatch Matches (+30 XP)
Particpate in 3 Proving Ground Team Elimination Matches (+30 XP)
Obtain Chaos Gate Rewards (+50 XP)

These can be done daily, up to the 500 XP limit and

Roster Missions

Roster Missions can only be completed once per Season, but reward 10-100 Ark Pass XP each, varying by activity. These consist of a mix of objectives, which include dailies, weeklies and other various tasks. There’s also a hidden mission that is not revealed from the start.

These Mission consist of the following objectives:

Play Instrument 20 Times (+50 XP)
Repair Gear 20 Times (+50 XP)
Perform 30 Frontal Attacks (+30 XP)
Perform 30 Back Attacks (+30 XP)
Perform 10 Counterattacks (+100 XP)
Exchange 1200 Una’s Tokens (+100 XP)
Use Bifrost or Ocean Liner 20 Times (+50 XP)
Use 20 Flares (+50 XP)
Repair Ship 5 times (+50 XP)
Take 2 Screenshots in Selfie Mode (+50 XP)
Use Recovery Battle Item (+50 XP)
Attempt to Hone your Gear 20 Times (+300 XP)
Fuse Gems 30 Times(+100 XP)
Attempt Skill Tree Transfers 20 Times (+100 XP)
Complete 20 Stronghold Dispatches (+100 XP)
Spend 4000 Life Energy (+20 XP)
Enter a Secrect Dungeon (+10 XP)
Obtain Ghost Ship Rewards twice (+50 XP)
Obtain Adventure Island Rewards 3 times (+40 XP)
Obtain Field Boss Rewards 3 times (+50 XP)

All of these are cumulative over the duration of the Ark Pass, so there’s no need to rush them. Most of them can be completed quickly though, with other require a week or more.

Buying XP

I highly advise against it, but the game also gives the option of buying XP as well. It comes at a price of 50 Blue Crystals Per 100 XP. Thankfully, it’s limited to three times a week at most, limiting most people to 1-3 additional levels if they choose to spend.

This is not an option anyone should use, as there’s very little reason to do this. Even heavy spenders should avoid this option as they can get better value elsewhere.

Ark Pass Tiers

The Ark pass has three tiers: Free, Premium, and Super Premium. Each of these adds to the rewards for the Ark pass, but you also get plenty of stuff just from the Free track.

Free Tier

The Free Track offers a variety of rewards, with options at most levels between Silver, Honing Materials, Ship Materials, Rapport Items, Sailing Coins, Gem Chests and more.

Every non-milestone level for the Free track features either Gold or Honing Materials, but you also get the Soul Vanguard Selection chest at Level 10, which grants you the Azure or Dark Soul Vanguard, a Spirit Tiger Mount.

Premium Tier

The Premium Ark Pass costs 1,500 Royal Crystals and includes a boost to level 5 on the Ark Pass, as well as a second track of rewards in addition to the Free track.

The Premium tier tosses a metric ton of Honing Materials at you, alongside Rapport and Gem Chests. Non-milestone Levels here grant mostly Honing Materials with a few levels instead offering Gems, Rapport Items, or Silver. This also adds the Vertus Pet Selection Chest to Level 30.

Super Premium

The Super Premium Ark Pass costs 3,000 Royal Crystals and includes everything in the Free and Premium Tracks as well. This also include a boost for your Ark Pass Level, starting you at Level 11.

Super Premium only adds rewards for the Milestone levels, adding in the Noble Banquet Wallpaper, and Noble Banquet Selection Chests at each level. This gives you the full set of cosmetics by Level 30.

Ark Pass Rewards

Below is a full list of all the rewards for each level of the Ark Pass for all three tiers. All rewards chests are Roster-bound, meaning you claim with any character and keep them in your storage. The Items themselves are detailed further below.

Free Track is always a choice between Item A or Item B, unless only one item is Listed.
