This guide details the Lost Ark Wild Wings Island Chicking Festival Event, including all ways to earn Tokens and the rewards you can get with them!
Added in the “Destined for Destruction” Update, the Chicking Festival Event is in full swing at Wild Wings Island. This event has a shop filled with many goodies from honing materials to cosmetics and other valuable items.
Going by the expiration date on some event rewards, the Chicking Festival Event will end on June 16, 2022. This means the event lasts 4 weeks, and you’ll be able to claim all the event rewards 4 times of the course of the event.
Unlocking the Co-op Quests
The first step of participating in this event is to talk to the event NPC found in every major city and accept the “Invitation to the Afterparty” quest. This NPC can also be found on Wild Wing Island as well if you cannot see them in your main city.
So the next thing you will need to do is hop on an Ocean Liner and head to Luterra, since Luterra is the closest location to sail to the event island. Once you’ve been there, you can return using the Ocean Liner and go directly there.
When sailing from Luterra, you can find the island just Southwest of Tortoyk as shown on the map below.
Once here, you’ll need to complete the “Invitation to the Afterparty” quest, which requires you to talk to the NPC on the island.
After this is complete, you’ll be given a total of 50 Chicking Festival Coins from the two quests and be able to participate in the Co-op Quests found on the island.
They’ll then give you a repeatable quest called “Festival’s Success”, which asks you to go catch 10 chickens on the islands to be used for more snack foods. This can be done daily and awards 200 Chicking Festival Coins.
Participating in Co-op Quests
Wild Wings Island is home to two different Co-op Quests, each of which runs every hour. These can be done every hour by the same character if desired, it’s really up to you if you want to run it on multiple characters.
Co-Op Quest: Revenge of the Chicken!
Starting every hour, on the hour, this Co-op Quest spawns a giant Golden Chicking, which must be defeated for event completion. However, you cannot damage them without interacting with an object in the area and becoming a chicken or a beer.
To Become a Chicken, interact with an Egg, marked by a yellow indicator on the map, in the event area and you will be transformed into a Chicken. To Become a Beer, Interact with the beer found on the nearby tables, marked by Green Indicators. Both forms have 3 very similar skills, which I will refer to as Hit, Stagger, and Dash.
Hit has virtually no cooldown and will be the attack you spam while in range of the Golden Chicking. Stagger is a skill you can use that does a fair bit more Stagger to the Chicking. Dash is a movement skill that allows you to get closer quickly if the Golden Chicken
The general strategy for completing this is to stay on top of the Golden Chicking as much as possible and mash your Hit skill and use Stagger off cooldown. Each Hit does 999 damage, while the Golden Chicking has total health of 1,999,000. This means collectively, the Co-op Group must Hit the Golden Chicking about 2,000 times in the span of 5 minutes. When you have 20+ people all hitting the Golden Chicking, this is done in just a few minutes.
On completion, depending on participation you’ll earn up to 900 Chicking Festival Tokens, with 900 being the Platinum participation reward and the most common you’ll get unless you arrive late.
Co-Op Quest: Purify With the Heart
Starting 10 minutes before each hour is the “Purify With the Heart” Co-op Quest. Compared to the “Revenge of the Chicken”, this Co-op quest is much simpler. However, it’s also much less rewarding overall.
To participate in this event, you only need to stand in the designated area around the giant egg and play Heart’s Melody.
Much like the “Revenge of the Chicken”, it goes insanely fast, as it only requires Heart’s Melody to be played a total of 50 times. This often means most people will only get to play the song once to three times, which will determine if they get the Gold or Platinum rewards.
This Co-op Quest will award 100-200 Tokens, based on whether you get Platinum or Gold rating. Overall, it’s not worth doing unless you want to get to the island extra early, but there’s a good way to knockout your daily quest alongside these Co-op Quests, which we’ll talk about shortly.
Earning Chicking Festival Tokens
In addition to the Daily and Co-op Quests listed above, there are a few other things you can do to earn Tokens. Below is a table of all the ways to earn Tokens currently available.
Activity | Payout |
Daily Una Task Completion | 20x Chicking Festival Tokens |
“Festival’s Success” Daily Quest | 200x Chicking Festival Tokens |
“Purify With the Heart” Gold | 100x Chicking Festival Tokens |
“Purify With the Heart” Platinum | 200x Chicking Festival Tokens |
“Revenge of the Chicken” Gold | 800x Chicking Festival Tokens |
“Revenge of the Chicken” Platinum | 900x Chicking Festival Tokens |
The “Revenge of the Chicken” Co-op Quest is the most rewarding part of this event, letting you easily clear the shop by clearing it just once daily. It also makes it easy to stockpile the Tokens, by running it multiple times a day, if you have the time.
Each Character that you have at level 50 will also be able to earn an extra 90 Tokens by completing their Daily Una’s Tasks. Those that have many characters will get quite a few tokens this way, but it’s not worth forcing due to the raw value of the “Revenge of the Chicken” Co-op Quest. It is however, extra tokens you’ll get passively by doing your dailies.
One of the best ways to get the most tokens in the least amount of time is to head to Wind Wings Island early, to catch the “Purify With the Heart” Co-op Quest. After that completes, there will be a bit of downtime you can use to casually finish the “Festival’s Success” daily quest before “Revenge of the Chicken” Starts. This nets you around 1300 Tokens in about 10-15 minutes. After this, it’s better to only take part in “Revenge of the Chicken” as it gives 900 for just a couple of minutes.
Chicking Festival Rewards
Once you get tokens, you can speak to Chicolo, who can be found in every major city, as well as on Wild Wings Island itself. This NPC will allow you to exchange your Tokens for a slew of items and honing materials.
Below are Chicolo’s full offerings in his exchange shop.
Special Sales
Special Sales has a variety of items, including Honing Books. Though most of the stock of items is not honing related.
Page 1
The first page has three items unique to this event: Tasty Chicking, Irresistible Draft Beer, and the Chicking Crest Chest.
The first two of these three are consumables. Tasty Chicking provides a minor state boost when eaten, giving 150 of a damage stat and 150 Vitality. There are much better food offerings in the game. The Draft Beer is okay, offering 5% Movement and Attack Speed. The effects of both items lasts 20 minutes.
The Chicking Crest Chest, offers a cosmetic Chicking Hat, similar to the Naruni hat from the previous event.
Finally, we have two returning items on this page as the shop offers Legendary Rapport Selection Chests as well as Una Instant Complete tickets.
To buy out this page of the shop each week it will cost you a total of 230 Chicking Festival Coins. It will cost an additional 2,000 Chicking Festival Coins for the Chicking Crests.
Page 2
Page 2 continues with more returning items, which includes: +1 Daily Una Tickets, Sailing Coind Selection Chests, Bloodclaw’s Glittering Coins, Creation Fragments, and Legendary – Uncommon Card Packs.
Card Pack and the Creation Fragments are nice to get if you’re working towards card sets. Though if you’re looking for Legendary Cards, you may have better luck elsewhere.
To buy out this page of the shop each week it will cost you a total of 760 Chicking Festival Coins.
Page 3
Page 3 has more familiar items, including Legendary Card Packs, Pheons, Silver, and the first pair of Honing Books.
As for Items to prioritize here, go for the Pheons, Legendary Cards, and Regulus’s Light Currency Chest. Pheons are used for trading, which can help you get better gear easier. Legendary cards are a thing you can hold on to, in hopes of getting some of the best card sets in the game. While Regulus’ Light Currency Chests hold silver, and a modest 200,000 Silver per week can help out a fair bit.
The Tier 1 Honing Books aren’t worth it unless you have no remaining power passes, have used your Super Express Event already, and are looking to start a Destroyer or any other class. These can help you get through the end of Tier 1 a bit easier, but outside of that will be useless.
To buy out this page of the shop each week it will cost you a total of 1190 Chicking Festival Coins. Or 1,040 Chicking Festival Coins if you’re not picking up the Tier 1 Honing Books.
Page 4
The last page of Special Sales holds the remaining two pairs of Honing Books.
Much like the Tier 1 books on the previous Page, the Tier 2 Books will help out towards the end of Tier 2 Gearing. While the Tier 3 Books are helpful for pushing characters into Raiding territory, where they can take on Argos and eventually Valtan.
To buy out this page of the shop each week, it will cost you a total of 350 Chicking Festival Coins. It costs only 200 Chicking Festival Coins if you’re only picking up the Tier 3 Honing Books.
Honing Materials
Honing Materials are exactly what you’d expect, it’s all your honing materials, including the Honing Success Chance items.
Page 1
The first page is all of your Item XP Shards, and the first half of your Leapstones.
This page is almost entirely buy what you need, when you need it really. Unless a character is just starting any of these tiers, it’s not too likely for them to be hurting for shards or leapstones.
To buy out this page of the shop each week, it will cost you a total of 810 Chicking Festival Coins. If only Purchasing Tier 3 items, it will only be 90 Chicking Festival Coins.
Page 2
Page 2 has the remaining half of the available Leapstones and the start of the Honing Support Items.
ALWAYS buy both forms of Honor Leapstones and the Solar Graces on your main, unless they’re maxed currently. Since Regular Honor Leaps can be converted at a 1:5 ratio to Great Honor Leaps. This ends up being around 20 Great Honors if you’re at that point, which is enough for a couple of hones, depending on where you’re at in your Honing.
To buy out this page of the shop each week, it will cost you a total of 925 Chicking Festival Coins. It costs 765 Chicking Festival Coins for just the Tier 3 items.
Page 3
Page 3 has the Remaining Tier 3 Honing Support Items and our Destruction Stones.
If you’re in Tier 3, you’ll ignoring the Tier 1 and 2 Destruction Stones. But everything else on this page you should be buying unless you’re maxed out.
To buy out this page of the shop each week it will cost you a total of 1,250 Chicking Festival Coins. For just the Tier 3 items, this will cost you 850 Chicking Festival Coins.
Page 4
The Final page consists of only Guardians Stones.
Again, if you’re in tier 3, you’re only going to care about the Tier 3 honing stones.
To buy out this page of the shop each week it will cost you a total of 900 Chicking Festival Coins. For just the Tier 3 items it will cost you 500 Chicking Festival Coins.
If you want to buy out the entire shop each week, it will cost you a total of 6,415 Chicking Coins each Week. If you want to include the Chicking Crests, that becomes 6,915 if buying one each week.
However if you only want the Tier 3 Items and all the Special Sales items, you’ll only need 4,435 Chicking Festival Coins each week. Again, this increased to 4,935 if you want to include the Chicking Crests by getting one each week.
4,435 Chicking Festival Coins can be easily gotten by completing “Revenge of the Chicken” and your Daily “Festival’s Success” Quest at least 4 times each week, in addition to having complete a couple Una’s.
Exchange Priority Lists
Below are two separate Priority lists for the event, one for Tier 3 players, and one for those under Tier 3.
Priority List for Tier 3
- Pheons
- Tier 3 Honing Materials
- Tier 3 Honing Books (if needed, even for alts)
- Sailing Coin Chest
- Bloodclaw’s Glittering Coin
- Regulus’ Light Currency Chest
- Card Packs and Creation Fragments
Pheons always take priority, because whether or not you need them, you’re saving yourself gold in the long run by making sure you get them free anytime they are available.
After that are your Honing materials, and additional currencies, which all can contribute to progression. Be it horizontal or vertical progression, they can all be used for progression of some nature.
Finally, there are the Card packs, which are progress towards the ultra-late game. Make sure to get all of them to really maximize how many Legendary cards you can end up with.
Priority List for Under Tier 3
- Pheons
- Tier 1/2 Honing Materials
- Tier 1/2 Honing Books
- Sailing Coin Chest
- Bloodclaw’s Glittering Coin
- Regulus’ Light Currency Chest
- Legendary Card Packs
Priorities here are largely the same. Pheons will always be the number 1 items you pick up from any event first, to make sure you don’t miss them. You may not need or even use the early on, but the more you have come Tier 3, the better.
After this is the obvious Honing Materials and additional Currencies. Again these all directly or indirectly contribute to progression, so they’re important to get.
At this point, you don’t really need cards, but you should at least pick up the Legendary Card Packs if you have spare Coins. While there’s no need to buy the other packs, Legendary Packs are much harder to get in large quantities, and help you build up your card collection with some of the more useful cards. You can however opt into picking up the other packs and even the Creation Fragment if you want to luck into more legendary cards.
