Iron Man will have a new game Marvel and EA have announced. The game is currently in development at EA who has hired Motion Studio Montreal to create it.

Marvel Games has hired the same director from Guardians of the Galaxy. So if you have played that game then you know a little bit of what to expect. Guardians of the Galaxy has received much critical acclaim from fans and pundits.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the talented team at Motive Studio to bring their original vision of one of Marvel’s most important, powerful and beloved characters,” said Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games.

“Their experience delivering both established entertainment worlds and thrilling gameplay — combined with their authentic passion for the armored icon — will fuel our quest to deliver a love letter to a legendary hero in the form of the ultimate Iron Man video game.”

Motive Games are big players in the world of gaming. They are responsible, as mentioned before, for the Guardians of the Galaxy and Dead Space remake (coming on January 27, 2023. Another big title is Star Wars: Squadrons.

“It’s an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to make a video game based on one of the most iconic Super Heroes in entertainment today,” said Olivier Proulx, Executive Producer.

“We have a great opportunity to create a new and unique story that we can call our own. Marvel is encouraging us to create something fresh. We have a lot of freedom, which is so engaging for the team.”

The Iron Man game will be a single-player 3rd person action adventure.

I am hoping for a fun game with catchy dialogues portraying Tony Stark’s everlasting arrogance and brilliant inventions that have never been seen in movies or animated series so far.

Iron Man Origins

Iron Man is a character created by Marvel’s very own Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Iron Man is supposed to be the embodiment of what humans can achieve using technology. The first comic book was released in March 1963, Tales of Suspense, issue 39.

The origin of Iron Man is that Tony Stark got captured by the communists who forced him to create a weapon for them after he got severely injured.

With the help of Yo Hinsen, Iron Man created an armor that would get him out of the imprisonment camp of the communists. But at the expense of Hinsen whose life was taken while trying to buy time for Tony to boot up the Iron Man armor.

Back at Stark Headquarters, Tony dedicated his life to bringing down those who threatened his company and later those who threatened the world. Later Tony would also become one of the founders of Earth’s mightiest heroes: The Avengers.

Alongside Thor, a defrosted Captain America, Ant-man and Wasp, and the Hulk, The Avengers fight side by side to keep the world safe from all threats domestic, foreign and interstellar.

Classic Iron Man tales are Armor Wars, coming to Disney+ soon. In Armor Wars, foes try to steal Iron Man’s technology for their own devious use. Ofcourse Iron Man tries to prevent the criminals from using the armor and succeeds.

The best Iron Man story however is Demon in a bottle. In Demon in a bottle, the enemy isn’t some lunatic who tries to take over the world. Or someone trying to steal the Iron Man armor but it is Tony battling alcoholism. Demon in a bottle, to date, is regarded as one of the best Iron Man stories in the history of the character.

Iron Man is considered a leading character in the Marvel Universe both in the comics as well as in the movies. Other leading characters are Captain America and Thor.
