This guide will show you how to start the Dr. Q at the Monarch Theater mission, where to find Harley Quinn, how to defeat her, and everything else you need to know about this mission!
Harley Quinn has escaped from Blackgate Prison and is wreaking havoc at the Monarch Theater and Gotham General Hospital. Here is how to gather clues to track her down and defeat her.
How to start Dr. Q at the Monarch Theater mission
After watching the TV announcement with Harley posing as Dr. Quinzel, you simply head over to the Batcomputer and go for Case Files. There are multiple ones so make sure that you click on Harley’s file and click on the one that says: Dr. Q at Monarch Theater. You will be transported automatically by holding the button right under the description.
Once outside you will find 4 mobs called Freaks, that’s who Harley and the Joker usually hire, and one of them is a mini-boss called a Bulldozer. There is a direct way of getting rid of them and that is by attacking right from the bat. Or you can stealth around and take down the smaller mobs and take down the Bulldozer by attacking him directly.
The same as always with Mini-Bosses: Hit your heavy melee until you break through his heavy defense. And once you are through that heavy guard then you can hit him with a momentum ability or keep hitting him with heavy attacks until he goes down.
How to Infiltrate the Monarch Theater
Once the Freaks are down, head on into the theater and after a small loading screen, you should be in.
Once you are through the hallway, go backstage and find a few Freaks that you can easily take down. It is your choice on how to do it but in order to avoid turmoil, I went with the stealth approach. And there’s a nice bonus attached for avoiding damage. It will give you nice salvage.
Next up is scanning crates. And you will find one that has stolen items in it from a company called Daggets Corporation. There was a break-in reported a couple of weeks ago and it looks like Harley Quinn and the Freaks had a hand in that. The Belfry will confirm the break-in and entry at Daggett.
Move on to the next area and clear the Freaks on the upper floor. There is another nice bonus by remaining undetected. Make sure you stay undetected for the nice salvage.
Where to find Harley Quinn in the Monarch Theater
Once the floor is cleared then you are on to find Harley Quinn. While you are underway to the backstage area clear the area of Freaks and another nice bonus for performing silent takedowns.
Move through the backstage area and find the door that leads to Harley Quinn. A nice cutscene will start to play with Harley on a big screen looking like she’s giving a TED Talk. Which ofcourse is a means to an end. She’s riling up her Freaks and trying to incite violence so you go down.
Harley’s Freaks enter the arena and there are a few mini-adds, one dressed up as an evil beaver, but there is one huge boss who has a Hyena mask and a strong shield. It’s essentially a boss fight but disguised as a mini-boss. Do not underestimate him. He does all the same as a, for example, a Bulldozer but he hits much and much harder and he is a little bit faster. Harley sure has a sense of flair.
Once you have defeated him and think you are out of the woods, Harley summons another big boss but this time without a shield but with an incendiary mace. This one isn’t as strong as the other one and has a few good hits and he’s down for the count.
Another cutscene starts with Batgirl confronting that Dr. Quinzel’s products aren’t working as advertised. Better yet, the products are causing serious mental dysfunction.
After the cutscene. where Harley reveals multiple bombs are planted and will go off shortly, it is up to the Gotham Knight to stop them all.
This round is particularly tough because of the bombs. There are 6 of them located in the room and their timers will go off randomly. On top of that the room is filled with a few Freaks with Molotov cocktails and the two bosses from earlier; there are two of them and this time one of them has a shield and the other has the incendiary mace. Twice the prize, double the fun.
How to disarm the bombs while fighting off the room
While you are in the fight of your life, Harley will set off the timer of the bombs. In the first phase, she will only set off the timer for 1 bomb. While you fight, try to create some space between you, the bosses, and the adds. Once the timer goes off, rush to the bomb to diffuse it. Press the corresponding button/letter on your screen to diffuse the bomb.
Also, make sure you go for the little adds first, you need to build up momentum and save that for the bosses.
The second phase is when 2 bombs are ticking. Like the first phase, hit the smaller adds and save up momentum to take down the big bosses.
The third phase is the hardest one. Simply because 3 bombs go off and the add waves keep coming. The way the bomb timers go off are random. So sometimes it’s on the north of the room while one other timer is in the west of the room. And yet another is on the south. So keep a close eye out of where it starts. And always go for the timer that is closest to zero. It will give you breathing room.
Once you kill the final boss and the bomb timers stop ticking, you will have an epilogue where Harley says she is bored of it all and the game takes you straight back to the Belfry.
You will have a nice conversation with Alfred before closing this mission. Alfred will tell you that it is Dr.Q who is causing all the chaos. To which your Gotham Knight says: Ofcourse if we take down Dr. Q’s empire we will take Harley down.
How to stop the Chaos in Gotham General Hospital
You stopped Harley at the Monarch Theater. But now she is off to make life difficult for everyone, including the Gotham Knights, in Gotham General Hospital.
You can start this mission as you did with Dr. Q at the Monarch Theater. Go to the Batcomputer and hit the Case Files tab and select Harley Quinn and click the mission. It should take you where you need to go.
You will end up in front of Gotham General Hospital where the crowd is rioting. With the equipment that was stolen from Daggett Industries, Harley has managed to construct an evil piece of machinery that uses a signal where people go berserk. Dr. Quinzel has managed to put electronic devices in the heads of innocent civilians, which is what she advertised on TV. Feel better, get a device. The devices however can be activated using a signal hence why people are rioting in the streets.
Take down both the civilians and the Freaks and the Bulldozers. Don’t feel sorry for the civilians. Under the influence of the device, they will still try to take you down.
After you are done, you will have to investigate your environment to look for clues as to how Harley managed to get people over the edge and start that riot.
Scan the civilian who is laying on the ground and you will find a device implemented inside his body. The device is a neural implant that is currently in human trials. Experimental technology it is then.
The scan will lead you to a defunct ice cream truck that has the apparatus that activated the neural implants. You will have to scan the truck and the off button of the device.
How to enter Gotham General Hospital in Gotham Knights
The last scan takes you to Gotham Central and you grapple up and find the helipad. There is the entrance to the ER and it takes you to the hall.
Move up as you try to find the Security Office. Take down the Harley fanatics, there are 3 of them. Still, under the influence of the device, it seems.
Once done, move to the Pharmacy where you will find 5 Freaks. Take them down, you can choose to take them down by force or perform silent takedowns. The easiest is Silent Takedowns. Simply because you can save up on medpacs that way.
There are two more floors with Freaks that you can easily take down before you go through a vent and find the chapel. The chapel is filled with Freaks and a Bulldozer. Take them down and if you manage to avoid taking damage then you will get a nice bonus.
On to the next area with more Freaks. 4 more Freaks and you then find the security office.
How to reach the L3 wing in the Harley Quinn missions
Watch the surveillance video and you will see a Harley who taunts you and dares to you go to the L3 wing of the hospital.
The door next to you will open automatically so head straight through the door and find the elevator. Harley has been so kind to show you what button to press in order to get to the L3 wing.
Once you get off the elevator, there will be 5 Freaks waiting and 1 Bulldozer. Fight them off as you make your way to the stairs. Behind the door upstairs you will find the L3 wing.
The whole hallway is filled with Freaks and is reminiscent of The Dark Knight. Take down the 5 Freaks and go for the Cafeteria.
11 more Freaks await and there is a nice bonus attached if you take them down silently using Perform Silent Takedowns.
After that Harley finally shows her face and just hooked up the TV for everyone to watch her in her moment supreme.
How to defeat Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn is a boss in Gotham Knights that is quite hard to defeat. I would strongly urge that you unlock the Knighthood tree of the character that you play with. It gives you extra abilities to make the fight a bit easier.
Harley Quinn has a huge sledgehammer and she is very acrobatic and thus can dodge a lot. The acrobatics sometimes also drops 3 mines. And it is hard to maintain a distance between you and Harley but try anyway when she does her gymnastic acrobatics.
I advise that because the last thing you want is to be locked in by a minefield while Harley has all the opportunity to beat you to a pulp with her sledgehammer.
At some point, Harley will smash an add through the door and take off while the adds, under the influence of the neural apparatus, try and take you down. The room is easily emptied since the adds of Harley devotees aren’t that strong. It is good that you get as many hits in as possible just to build Momentum. With the last one down, Harley comes back to the floor to finish the fight.
The fight continues with Harley but this time she took her Harley Devotees friends. Take down the Harley Devotees while you try to punch Harley a few times.
The fight fades into a cutscene where your Gotham Knight has pickpocketed Harley and destroyed the remote control and disrupt the signal from the neural apparatus.
The fight continues after the cutscene and Harley’s sledgehammer is now electric, meaning if she hits you, you will be electroshocked as well as taking the hit. Just try and avoid that sledgehammer because if she hits you, you will get hit by a series of blows. Once that’s done, you will have no trouble finishing her off.
