Another year is gone and with it, lots of memories but the good thing is that 2024 won’t lack any Star Wars content! These are all the Star Wars releases that you can expect to see in 2024!
2023 was packed with Star Wars content, we got series, toys, and lots of books but the year has come to an end, and it’s time to start thinking of everything Star Wars fans will be able to experience in 2024! Most of these releases are confirmed but there’s uncertainty surrounding a few things, but it’s still important to mention them.
Here’s what you can expect to see in 2024 regarding Star Wars’ series, games, books, comics, and collectibles/toys!
Series
Since Disney Plus launched, the era of Star Wars Series has begun. Not every show has been equally successful, but if you don’t like one, there’s always another one coming after it to give you hope.
The Acolyte
The last news we had from this show is that it will premiere in 2024 but other than that we only know things like the casting and that there will be lots of lightsaber duels.
The Acolyte will take place in the final days of the High Republic, an era that shows the Jedi Order at their highest and lowest points. The Sith have been missing for centuries but that doesn’t mean that these times are peaceful.
Led by Marchion Ro, the Nihil were able to bring the Republic and the Jedi Order to their knees with their strange technology and mysterious creatures known as the “Nameless” which are capable of breaking even the mightiest Jedi Masters.
Phase III of the High Republic just began so it’s going to be very interesting how it connects with The Acolyte and subsequently, with the prequel trilogy.
Skeleton Crew
This series will tell the story of four kids that end up stranded on a strange planet, they will try to get home with the help of a character played by Jude Law, it will be released in 2024.
Other than this, we only know that it is part of the “Mandoverse”. If it it is true that The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka will all get a big crossover then the members of Skeleton Crew may join them.
The Bad Batch Season 3
Season 2 of The Bad Batch had a really nerve-wracking ending, it was intense, emotional, and disturbing. The great thing about new characters in animated shows is that we never know what’s going to happen to them.
The Trailer for the third and last season of The Bad Batch was showed privately to those who attended Star Wars Celebration. We know that animated series don’t get the same exposure as live-action series, but I think this will be a truly interesting season that will live in our hearts and minds for many years.
I’m dying to know what happens to Omega and Crosshair, we’ll also get to confirm our suspicions about how/if it all connects with The Mandalorian and the controversial sequel trilogy.
Tales of the Jedi Season 2
Tales of the Jedi was an unexpected surprise but a welcomed one, it explored key moments in the lives of Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku and how they were shaped by these experiences. We rarely get to see the point of view of a villain in Star Wars so getting to see Dooku’s fall was incredible.
The second season of the show was also announced during Star Wars Celebration with a release date of 2024. There are no details of what characters we’ll get to learn more about. I’d want it to be about Asajj Ventress or Baylan Skoll/Shin Hati.
Andor Season 2
Andor’s second season will be divided into different arcs that take place years apart from each other, all of them leading to when we meet Cassian for the first time in Rogue One. Just like the first season, it will also have twelve episodes, as well as returning and new characters.
Season 2 of Andor was originally planned to release in 2024 but due to the actors and writers’ strike many productions were pushed back and this might be the case for Andor.
Nothing has been confirmed but considering that we’re just a few days away from 2024 and there’s not even a teaser, it might not be releasing anytime soon.
However, Disney has changed the release dates of their Star Wars series multiple times. It happened with Andor’s first season and with the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, even if they intend to release it on a certain date this could change in a matter of weeks.
Games
Along the biggest reveal of Star Wars Outlaws, we will have a few more titles to look forward to in 2024. Will KOTOR be among them?
Star Wars Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws will take place between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Crime and underworld trading are at an all-time high and everyone wants a piece of the cake. We’ll get to play as Kay Vess, a smuggler that has a very “Han-Solo-ish” vibe.
The best thing is that many crime syndicates will be involved in the story, the Pyke Syndicate and Hutt Cartel are already confirmed but I’d love to see Crimson Dawn.
Crime lords wouldn’t be complete without their lethal bounty hunters, Outlaws will have a system that lets the player know when they’re being tracked by one of these bounty hunters.
There’s also the open world, space combat, and locations that are synonyms for illegal activities; Takodana, Tatooine, or Canto Bight to name a few.
Star Wars Outlaws is supposedly coming out in 2024 but to be honest I prefer to remain skeptical when it comes to videogame release dates, at least until we have an official announcement for it.
Knights of the Old Republic Remake
When the remake of KOTOR was first announced we were all incredibly excited, this is my favorite Star Wars game ever and the idea of being able to play it with modern graphics and gameplay is an amazing thought.
Unfortunately, this possibility has been decreasing within the last year, at least in appearance. Then the game changed developers and later, whispers on the internet spread about the studio shutting it down but nothing regarding its development has been confirmed or denied.
At this point, I just want to know if it’s going to happen or not. 2024 should be the year when fans find out what’s going to be of this highly-anticipated remake.
Star Wars Hunters
Star Wars Hunters was announced a while ago, it’s a multiplayer arena game where two teams have to battle each other to complete an objective. There are playable characters with ties to all factions of the prequel and original trilogy.
While it won’t be a story-driven game like Jedi Survivor, it certainly looks very fun to play with friends who want to have a fun time. Sadly, this game has been delayed multiple times and it’s unclear if/when it might come out but hopefully, we’ll have some news about it in 2024.
Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster
Almost twenty years after its release, fans will be able to re-live the experience of playing Dark Forces once again or maybe even try it for the first time when the remaster gets released on February 28.
Its gameplay and graphics are certainly outdated but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to enjoy a game that was remarkable during its time.
Books and comics
For fans of written content, there has never been a better moment than now. And the coming year will continue the trend of 2023 with more stories from The High Republic along with other interesting releases covering different eras and featuring both legendary and new characters.
The High Republic Phase III
Phase III officially began last November with The Eye of Darkness, an adult novel that takes place one year after the destruction of the iconic Starlight Beacon.
Phase III will happen throughout 2024 and 2025. Here’s the list of the upcoming High Republic releases:
- Escape from Valo – January 30, 2024
- Defy the Storm – March 5, 2024
- Temptation of the Force – June 11, 2024
- Beware the Nameless – July 23, 2024

The Living Force
This adult novel is set one year before the events of The Phantom Menace. The times that were considered to be the Jedi Order’s golden age are no more, as a result of this, the Order has been retrieving many of its members from outposts that were used to protect people on distant planets.
Qui-Gon raises his concern about how the Order is getting isolated, in response, the entire council heads to the planet Kwenn to help the locals. Having the entire Jedi Council reunited on a planet that isn’t Coruscant is something very rare, and such an opportunity will not be wasted by those who see the Jedi Order as enemies.
The Living Force will be released on April 9, 2024.
The Glass Abyss
The Glass Abyss book will be centered around Mace Windu’s perspective after the tragic death of Qui-Gon. While the two Jedi often disagreed, both had massive respect for each other and their unique points of view.
After Qui-Gon’s death, Mace receives a message recorded specifically for him. This message includes a final request from his friend to help the people of a planet called Metagos. Mace will travel to the planet to fulfill his friend’s final wish but this mission will push him and his beliefs to the limit.
The Glass Abyss will be available on August 6, 2024.
Collectibles
While we will have to wait a bit more for the official confirmations from LEGO on the Star War 2024 front, we have plenty of announced products that will do their best to drain our pockets next year. Micro Galaxy Squadron, I am looking at you!
Micro Galaxy Squadron
This is my favorite ongoing Star Wars toy line, all ships are so detailed, and the fact that fans of all Star Wars media can get their favorite ship is fantastic. Even those who love The Bad Batch or watched the 2003 Clone Wars show can get something appealing.
We’re currently waiting for Series 5 which will include ships like the B-Wing, U-Wing, Desert Skiff, TIE Silencer to name a few. The release date of Series 5 hasn’t been confirmed but if it’s similar to what we experienced during 2023 then we could expect to get these new models in Spring of 2024.
Jazwares is also supposed to make direct purchases through “The Vault” at some point in 2024. This will help collectors get their favorite vehicles and ships, especially the elusive Rare and Chases that are such a pain in the butt to acquire, and even some online exclusives. Black Series
I can’t talk about Star Wars collectibles without mentioning Hasbro. Whether you’re a fan of Vintage Collection, Black Series, Lightsabers, or Helmets there’s always something exciting around the corner.
The thing that I’m most excited about is by far the Captain Rex Black Series Helmet. The 501st is the most iconic battalion of the Grand Army of the Republic and that also applies to their brave leader.
As a massive Clone Wars fan and someone without the skills to make my own helmet, I’m super excited about finally being able to get this piece in my collection. Captain Rex’s electronic helmet will be released in March 2024 and is priced at $131.99.
LEGO
LEGO sets can be incredibly fun to build with your significant other, family, friends, or even on your own, especially if they’re Star Wars-themed. Every year we get a lot of sets that vary in price, size, and type.
Unfortunately, LEGO hasn’t revealed any of the Star Wars sets coming out in 2024 and it’s impossible to know if they’ll do it before the end of the year. There are many rumors and leaks but I don’t feel comfortable using those “sources”. If anything gets announced relatively soon, this segment will be updated accordingly.
On the bright side, you still have time to build any of the LEGO sets released in 2023, like the UCS Venator or Ahsoka’s T-6 Shuttle!
