Pets are wonderful companions that will follow you around and grab loot for you. This Guide tells you everything you need to know to start making use of Pets in Diablo 4.
How Pets function in Diablo 4
Pets in Diablo 4 are a loyal non-combat companion (they don’t attack and monsters will not attack them) that will follow you around and gather loot for you such as crafting Materials, Gold and Cinder.
How to Unlock Pets
To unlock Pets, head Northwest of the Inn in Kyosvashad and start the “Faithful Companion” quest from the Well-Behaved Dog as shown below.
Select the option to call him a good boy, and we’ll complete the quest, unlocking the Pets System. This will also enable us to use any Pets we obtain from the MTX Store, including those in the Vessel of Hatred Editions bonuses.
How to Get a Free Pet in Diablo 4
All we need to do is complete the “Faithful Companion” quest to receive the Asheara Pet for free! This good boy will always follow us once we have him equipped and ready to use.
