San Diego Comic-Con 2024 took off and we already received some remarkably interesting book announcements. Specifically, for fans of the Prequel Trilogy, The High Republic, and The Acolyte.

The Acolyte introduced new characters that quickly gained new fans. We will be able to explore the lives of Yord, Jecki, Kelnacca, and Vernestra Rwoh in different publishing titles.
Wayseeker is a novel that shows Vernestra’s life twenty years before the events of the Acolyte. “Vern” is a character that first appeared in Phase I of the High Republic.
While we know most of her story, there are still many questions that popped up during the final episode of The Acolyte. Hopefully, this novel written by Justina Ireland (A Test of Courage and Path of Deceit) is going to answer some of them.
Yord and Jecki are getting a Young Adult novel set in the years prior to the events of The Acolyte. It’s coming out in July 2025.
Tessa Gratton is in charge of this book, she wrote past High Republic novels like Path of Deceit, Quest for Planet X, and Defy the Storm.
The mighty Kelnacca is getting not one but two different appearances, this time in comic books. Cavan Scott is writing a one-shot for Marvel.
Kelnacca will also appear in the The High Republic comic series, starting in February 2025. All we know is that Kelnacca will join Keeve Trennis and other Jedi in a conflict that apparently involves members of the Nihil.
The Art of The High Republic Volume II is being prepped for its release. The current cover shows Avar Kriss, Bell Zettifar, and Vernestra Rwoh preparing to face the dooming Nameless creatures.
The High Republic is not as illustrated as other eras of Star Wars so it’s very nice to get this book where we’ll be able to know more about the characters and locations that we’ve read about in Phases I, II, and III.
The Art of Star Wars Outlaws
This book by Dark Horse explores many of the locations, characters, and themes present in the upcoming open-world game Star Wars Outlaws.
There is no release date announced yet for the book but the game is coming out in less than a month!
Battle of Jakku – Insugerncy Rising
A brand-new Marvel comic series will follow the events of Return of the Jedi. This story is going to take us to the final battle of the Rebell Alliance against the Galactic Empire AKA The Battle of Jakku which we experienced in the campaign of Star Wars Battlefront II.
This maxi-series is written by Alex Segura. Illustrations are made by Leonard Kirk, Jethro Morales, and Stefano Raffaele. The first issue releases on October 2, 2024.
Prequel Trilogy Graphic Novel
New illustrated adaptations of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith were announced by Dark Horse.
An effective way to revive our favorite moments with illustrations from Alessandro Ferrari, Matteo Piana, and Ingo Römling. The collection arrives on November 12, 2024.
