Diablo 4 is celebrating Halloween with a few events and free cosmetics. Read on for more details on what to expect.
Event Timing
Diablo 4’s Halloween Event will run from October 29th, starting with the 2.0.4 Update, until November 5th at noon PT. This event and all the goodies that come with it will disappear after just one week, so get them while they’re around.
Free Seasonal Cosmetics
A free cosmetic will be available in the in-game shop every day through the first four days of the event at Noon PT.
All of these cosmetics can be claimed until the end of the event on November 5th, and do not require daily logins to obtain. We’ll have images below of the Cosmetics as they are released.
How to Claim Free Cosmetics
To claim the event cosmetics, we’ll need to head in-game and visit the Shop (PC Default: P). In the shop there’s a special section just below the Just For You section that will display the available cosmetics. We’ll need to “purchase” them individually, but they do not cost Platinum.
Once claimed from here, they can be equipped as normal by visiting any Wardrobe in any town or simply accessing the Wardrobe menu from the Character Panel.
The Mount Cosmetic will require a visit to the nearest Stablemaster, found in Capital Cities.
Cosmetic Previews
Below is a look at all the cosmetics released during this event. This will be updated as each Cosmetic is released.
October 29th: The Recluse Host’s Mount
October 30th: Ichorflame Torch Mount Trophy
Meat or Treat
The Butcher has put his spin on Trick or Treat, cursing every Shrine in Dungeons to have an additional surprise. Will our luck give us “Meat” or “Treat”? Only one way to find out!
Will we get lucky and get a “Treat” in the form of a Treasure Goblin and be able to claim its Treasure Bag as a reward? This Treasure Bag holds a few Legendary items and the Goblin itself will drop a handful of Ladder Boss Summoning materials.
Or will we get unlucky and get the “Meat” option, being forced to face off with the Burning Butcher? If we defeat him, we’re still rewarded with a Unique Item, so it’s not all that bad.
Mother’s Blessing
Throughout the Event, Mother’s Blessing will be active, granting x35% Experience and x50% Gold gain for all characters. This is great for helping to push Paragon for those who don’t want to start a new character just yet.
That said, it’s a great time to start a new character and raise it to level 60 if you want something different to play with. Check our How to Level Up Fast Guide to get all the details on how to quickly level a character, with or without the Mother’s Blessing effect.
