What is coming to Star Wars in 2025

Live action and animation, books and comics, toys and events, this is a list of our favorite Star Wars things coming in 2025!

Andor Season 2

The second season of one of the best Star Wars series is finally coming out in April. It will cover the next four years of Andor with three episodes dedicated to each year.

It is supposedly ending right before the events of Rogue One so it’s going to be incredibly interesting to see how everything develops.

Star Wars Visions Volume 3

Once again, multiple animation studios from different places of the world are creating Star Wars stories with their unique visual and storytelling styles.

The official release date for Volume 3 is unknown at the time of writing this article but it’s likely to be revealed on Star Wars Celebration.

The studios involved in the third volume are David Production, Polygon Pictures, WIT Studio, Project Studio Q, Kamikaze Douga, Kinema Citrus Co., Production I.G., and Trigger.

Check out our coverage of Volume 1 and Volume 2 if you have not seen any of the episodes to get a better idea of what to expect.

Comics

Legacy of Vader by Charles Soule is going to tell the story of Kylo Ren between Episodes VIII and IX.

Jedi Knights is a series that will show the perspective of multiple Jedi when facing a foe that so far, remains unnamed.

The Battle of Jaku is releasing its last issues in the first quarter of 2025.

The Ahsoka series is being adapted to a comic book format. It won’t change from what we saw on screen but it’s a nice thing for everyone who enjoys this type of art.

The High Republic

The High Republic is among my favorite pieces of Star Wars content. The journey has been incredibly fun but after four years, the High Republic is coming to an end. Phase III has only a few stories left to be told before we know what happens with the Nihil, Marchion Ro, and the mysterious blight that’s covering the galaxy.

There is a total of three remaining books left. Into the Light by Claudia Gray is the final Young Adult Novel with a release date of April 1st.

For the Middle-Grade book, we have A Valiant Vow by Justina Ireland, which is coming out on May 6th.

Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule is the final Adult Novel that will officially conclude The High Republic publishing initiative. The cover has yet to be revealed but you can expect it to be available on June 17th.

Additionally, Marvel Comics continues with their High Republic series. The High Republic Adventures from Dark Horse comes to an end.

Fans of The Acolyte will be pleased to know that two more stories are being released. Set two decades before The Acolyte, Wayseeker by Justina Ireland features Vernestra Rwoh and Master Indara.

While The Crystal Crown by Tessa Graton focuses on a mission that Yord and Jecki are tasked to complete.

Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear

Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear is the first of three books that will cover the years between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The Mask of Fears begins right after Revenge of the Sith and it will focus on characters like Mon Mothma or Bail Organa who are key to the eventual creation of the Rebel Alliance.

It is written by Alexander Freed, who has worked on things like the Alphabet Squadron novel or the Imperial Agent storyline in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Reign of the Empire, The Mask of Fear will be released on February 25th.

Toys and Collectibles

The Old Republic fans are getting a new Darth Malgus statue. Hot Toys is releasing a 1:6 scale figure that properly displays how menacing Malgus truly is.

Darth Malgus is not releasing until Q1-Q2 of 2026 but you can pre-order it while it’s still possible. The price tag is $305. As usual, this price does not include any taxes or shipping cost. Vulkk’s pre-order, for example, bumped to ~380 Euro, so be prepared to pay more.

As far as brands like Black Series, LEGO, and Micro Galaxy Squadron, we still have to wait for official announcements. Though, I am almost certain that the most important ones will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2025.

Star Wars Celebration 2025

After two years, Star Wars Celebration is returning. This is the event where everything important is announced: movies, series, books, collectibles, etc.

It is organized by Lucasfilm/Disney so many of our favorite actors attend to meet the fans and sometimes announce their participation in upcoming projects.

Star Wars Celebration 2025 is taking place in Tokyo, Japan from April 18-20. Some of the confirmed guests includ:

  • Diego Luna (Cassian Andor)
  • Ashley Eckstein (Voice of Ahsoka Tano in Clone Wars and Rebels)
  • Anthony Daniels (C-3PO)
  • Mads Mikkelsen (Galen Erso)
  • Manny Jacinto (Qimir)
  • Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett)
  • Sam Witwer (Maul in Clone Wars, Starkiller)
  • and many more.

As you can see, this is no small event. You can’t miss it! If you happen to miss it after all, we will have full coverage of everything announced and revealed!

Studied psychology at his state University. The first game that left him speechless was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Star Wars is his favorite franchise, but LOTR is right under it. He also loves music, particularly guitar and all the related gear to it.
