Avowed Dawnshore Treasure Map Locations and Rewards

Avowed’s Treasure Maps each give you a visual clue to the location of some powerful gear. We’ll show you what each treasure is and where you can find it in Dawnshore, the game’s first area.

How do Treasure Maps work in Avowed?

Each region has 3 Treasure Maps, each of which has a picture of a location with an X marking the spot where a Unique Item can be found.

The treasures themselves do not belong to any set and tend to be a bit more eccentric than the rest of the gear in the game, though they can still be worth using.

You can find Treasure Maps next to corpses or buy them from select Merchants for a paltry sum.

You do not need to acquire the Treasure Map to find the treasures themselves. If you’re thorough with your exploration, you can stumble upon the treasures without the map. Since you’re reading this guide, you don’t need to bother with the maps at all.

There is an Achievement, “Pathfinder”, for finding all the hidden treasures across the Living Lands.

Captain Henqua’s Spoils Treasure Map leads you to Wind and Wave, a shield that protects you from the effects of Frost Accumulation.

You can loot Captain Henqua’s Spoils Treasure Map from a corpse near the top of the Lighthouse at Claviger’s Landing in Dawnshore.

Hint: Swim along the river bounding the Overgrown Frontier.

Captain Henqua’s Spoils Treasure is located in an underwater cave on the west riverbank dividing the Overgrown Frontier from Paradis. You’ll need to dive underwater to reach the chest.

Wind and Wave Shield Treasure Overview

Captain Henqua’s Spoils Treasure is the Wind and Wave shield, an Off Hand Item that has the following Unique effects:

+10% Move Speed

Lesser Freeze-Proofed

+ 20% resistance to Frost Accumulation

Hint: You’re looking for a canyon in The Rise.

The Intimidating Feline Codpiece Treasure is located in a cave at the end of a secluded path below Watcher’s Mirror on the eastern edge of The Rise in Dawnshore.

Stelgaer’s Pride Treasure Overview

Stelgaer’s Pride is Medium Armor with +18% Damage Reduction, -35 Stamina, and -30 Essence. It has the following unique effects:

Bloodied Fury

Cast Barbaric Shout (lvl 5 Fighter ability) when taking damage greater than 30% of your Maximum Health

Lesser Relentless

+5% Stamina regeneration rate

Woedica’s Inheritance Treasure Map

The Woedica’s Inheritance Treasure Map leads you to the Gloves of the Strangler, a stealth-focused piece of handware.

Woedica’s Inheritance Treasure Map Location

You can purchase the Woedica’s Inheritance Treasure Map from Sanza at his Emporium in High Market in Northern Paradis. You can’t access this area until you’ve completed Message from Afar.

Hint: Look for a secret passage in the Southern Embrace.

If Sanza’s Emporium is closed, you will also need to speak to Sanza at Claviger’s Landing near the first campsite and begin the Mapping the Living Lands quest.

Woedica’s Inheritance Treasure Location

Woedica’s Inheritance Treasure is located behind a secret passage along the eastern wall of Paradis, northwest of Usher’s Hand in Dawnshore. The button that opens the secret passage is to the right of the door.

Gloves of the Strangler Treasure Overview

Gloves of the Strangler are Common piece of handwear that has the following Item Bonus and Unique Effect:
