Avowed’s Treasure Maps each give you a visual clue to the location of some powerful gear. We’ll show you what each treasure is and where you can find it in Emerald Stair, the game’s second area.

How do Treasure Maps work in Avowed?
Each region has 3 Treasure Maps, each of which has a picture of a location with an X marking the spot where a Unique Item can be found.
The treasures themselves do not belong to any set and tend to be a bit more eccentric than the rest of the gear in the game, though they can still be worth using.
You can find Treasure Maps next to corpses or buy them from select Merchants for a paltry sum.
You do not need to acquire the Treasure Map to find the treasures themselves. If you’re thorough with your exploration, you can stumble upon the treasures without the map. Since you’re reading this guide, you don’t need to bother with the maps at all.
There is an Achievement, “Pathfinder”, for finding all the hidden treasures across the Living Lands.
Practical Pockets Treasure Map
Practical Pockets Treasure Map leads you to Hjilde’s Handy Hide Armor.
Practical Pockets Treasure Map Location
You can purchase the Practical Pockets Treasure Map from Ector Brewer, owner of The Gifted Magpie in Fior mes Ivèrno.
Hint: That building is the Ranger Headquarters.
Practical Pockets Treasure Location
Practical Pockets Treasure is located northeast of the Ranger Headquarters in a burrow on the edge of the map in the Rolling Crags of the Emerald Stair.
Hjilde’s Handy Hide Treasure Overview
Hjilde’s Handy Hide is a Light Cuirass, meaning it offers +10% Damage Reduction and -20 Stamina / -20 Essence. It that improves your survivability by reducing elemental damage taken and increasing your HP, but improving survivability with Light Armor is a bit of an oxymoron. Wear Medium Armor if that’s what you want.

Painter’s Regret Treasure Map
Painter’s Regret Treasure Map leads you to the Painter’s Brush Trinket.
Painter’s Regret Treasure Map Location
You can steal the painting of the Painter’s Regret Treasure Map from an empty cottage on the eastern edge of the Coastal Farms in Maxim’s Claim in Emerald Stair.
Hint: That’s the northwest side of Fior mes Ivèrno.
Painter’s Regret Treasure Location
Painter’s Regret Treasure is located at a campsite on a cliff along the west bank of the river that divides Fior mes Ivèrno from The Wildwoods in the Emerald Stair.
Painter’s Brush Treasure Overview
The Painter’s Brush is a powerful Trinket that boosts your Critical Hit Chance by +5%. It’s significantly better than a single point of Dexterity because it bypasses diminishing returns.

Earthly Aegis Treasure Map
Earthly Aegis Treasure Map leads you to the Nature’s Ward Shield.
Earthly Aegis Treasure Map Location
You can loot the Earthly Aegis Treasure Map from a chest in a secluded Godless building behind the campsite on Naku Tedek Grounds in Emerald Stair. You’ll need to squeeze through some kiosks and walk across a root.
Hint: That’s a specific building on a cliff in Delemgan territory.
Earthly Aegis Treasure Location
Earthly Aegis Treasure is located in a Godless building on the edge of the eastern outskirts of The Delemgan Glade, south of the Godless Sinkhole and Tama’s Cabin in Emerald Stair.
The building has a secret entrance and the button is located on the side of the building facing the cliff. You’ll need to walk out onto the large root.
Nature’s Ward Shield Treasure Overview
Nature’s Ward is inspired by Delemgan shields and makes the attacker deal take damage and can cleanse Poison.
Spiked Brambles
Blocking the enemy’s melee attack deals damage to the attacker
Purging
Blocking the enemy’s melee attack has a 50% chance to remove the Poisoned status
