Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 Art Show Reveal
The Star Wars Celebration Art Show allows artists from all over the world to display and sell their work at the event. Hundreds, if not thousands of artists submit their art and Lucasfilm picks the best. The variety of styles and illustrations is wide, there’s probably something for any fan regardless of what era of Star Wars they prefer.
The following are just a few examples of what’s going to be physically available at the event. You can find the complete list of artwork with the description of each artist at the official post.
Jonathan Beistline – “Overwhelming Odds”
Chris Trevas – “Freighters of Fortune”
Akinobu Hara – 狼将 -ROSHO-
MGS Series 6 Starfighter set coming to Jazwares’ Vault
The Micro Galaxy Squadron (MGS) series continues to increase in both size and difficulty to collect. Whether it’s because of the distribution disparity or the insane number of ships available it’s not the easiest thing to get everything. Jazware’s Vault is an attempt to solve this issue.
The next item available at the Vault will be the Series 6 Starfighter Class Collection. It includes Hera Syndulla’s X-Wing, Phantom I, Bo Katan’s Gauntlet Fighter (Armada Edition), Fang Fighter, and a Kenner-inspired X-Wing. Previous equivalent sets have been sold for $100 so expect a similar price. It will be available on Wednesday 26th at the Jazwares Vault.
Star Wars star Receives BAFTA
The BAFTA Fellowship is considered a lifetime achievement award and it recognizes outstanding achievement in the art forms of the moving image. This award is given to the most prominent people in the history of film and television.
Charles Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Maggie Smith, Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Lee, and Martin Scorsese are just some of the people who have received it. In 2025, Warwick Davis received the award for his contributions throughout his career.
Warwick Davis has played different characters in Star Wars but is most known for playing everyone’s favorite Ewok, Wicket. You can watch his full speech on the BAFTA YouTube channel.
“This is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I’ve been in Star Wars.”
The last two guests announced for SWC 2025
One of the biggest appeals of attending Star Wars Celebration is being close to some of our favorite Star Wars actors who appear in the movies, series, animated shows, and even games.
For the past months, new guests have been announced weekly but that is coming to an end. Hayden Christensen and Vanessa Marshall (voice of Hera Syndulla) have been revealed as the final two guests to attend the biggest Star Wars event of the year.
I was expecting the list of guests to be as big as it was in 2023 but the fact that it takes place in Japan probably makes it a lot harder for everyone. Many actors do more things outside of Star Wars, their agendas are probably way too busy to spend a weekend overseas.
In case you are not aware of the other celebrities going to the event, you can check the list of all guests attending SWC Japan 2025.
Ahsoka #8
The eighth and final issue of the Ahsoka comic series adaptation by Marvel is now available for purchase. You probably already know what happens in this issue but it’s a nice way to re-experience the story in a different format.
The High Republic (Phase III): Fear of the Jedi #1
The final arc of the High Republic continues with this Marvel Comics series that takes us to the fight inside the Nihil Occlusion Zone. Keeve Trennis has been through a lot since the Nihil first appeared but as something changes her path, her story is far from being over. Jedi Master Kelnacca from The Acolyte is a guest star in this issue.
