You can purchase the Axe of Desert Glass from Wharaki’s Wares at the Thirdborn Oasis in Shatterscarp. Initially, she’s cowering in an Orlan-sized cavern near her former inventory. After spooking with her there, she will leave the cavern and sell stuff to you.
Cargo Cracker (Axe)
Cargo Cracker is a Unique Axe that deals unblockable damage and can be Enchanted to either boost the damage dealt by you and your Companions upon completing a Full Combo or make Power Attacks slow the hit enemy.

You can find Deadly Euphemism impaled in a sack on a cart next to the Bounty: Koda and Dario, north of the Sand Sea Ruins in the Great Sand Sea of Shatterscarp.
Star of Unbeing (Mace)
The Star of Unbeing is a powerful Mace with a black hole inside. Upon bludgeoning a Stunned enemy (AKA Special Attack), it unleashes that black hole via the level 15 Wizard spell Pull of Eora to lift 1-4 enemies off the ground.
Unmaking
Power attacks deal high Poison Accumulation
Annihilation
Power attacks deal high Poison Accumulation to nearby enemies
Withering Miasma
Killing an enemy creates a lingering AoE that deals high Poison Accumulation to nearby enemies
Untamed Void
A successful Special Attack casts Pull of Eora (lvl 15 Wizard spell)
As a Mace, you are poised to stun enemies regularly, so you may even want to consider unlocking the spell to cast and enhance it.
Its Enchantments focus on Poison Accumulation, which you can choose to apply in an area with Power Attacks or on kill. In my opinion, putting it on Power Attacks (Annihilation) is far more useful.
You can loot the Star of Unbeing from a table near the exit of the first trial in Naku Kubel in Shatterscarp.
The Emperor’s Reach (Sword)
Despite looking like a toy, The Emperor’s Reach is a Unique Sword and pretty direct upgrade over The Last Light of Day. Its Enchantments allow you to emphasize buffs after kills or dealing high Stun on Parry.
Rightful Annexation
Killing an enemy gives you +10% Attack Damage and Move Speed for 6s
Triumph of Conquest
Killing an enemy restores health, gives you +15% Attack Damage and +20% Move Speed for 6s
Imperial Rebuke
A successful Parry deals high Stun to the attacking enemy
Bend the Knee
Special Attacks Stun nearby Kith
If you successfully attack one Stunned enemy, you’ll also Stun nearby Kith, which include humans (Giatta/soldiers), aumaua (Kai/Rauitaians), dwarves (Maurius/Pargrunen), and orlans (Yatzli/colorful petite furries), as well as elves and godlike.
You can loot The Emperor’s Reach fom Kukae Maka, a Dreamthrall with a Bounty on their head located in the Ancient Lakebead in Shatterskarp.
Umpara’s Spear (Spear)
Umpara’s Spear is one of only two Unique Spears in the game, the other being Giant’s Slumber. It’s quite powerful, dealing more critical damage and can be Enchanted to make Power Attacks launch an explosive Poison Dart or apply a significant movement and survivability debuff upon completion of a Full Combo.
Deadly Mechanism
Power Attacks launch a poison dart
Paralyzing Toxin
Power Attacks launch an explosive poison dart that deals Poison Accumulation to nearby enemies
Unbalancing Rhythm
A Full Combo Attack slows the hit enemy and applies -20% Damage Reduction for 10s
Strike the Heart
+25% Critical Hit Damage
You receive Umpara’s Spear from Keipo in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp at the end of the quest “Heart of Valor” if you choose to give him the Heart of the Leviathan.
Two-Handed Melee Weapons
You can find 2 Unique Two-Handed Melee Weapons in Shatterscarp, a Greatsword and a Greathammer.
Hel’s Tongue (Greatsword)
Hel’s Tongue is a powerful and flashy flamberge (Unique Greatsword) that applies Fire Accumulation to healthy enemies and Frost Accumulation to enemies on the brink of death. It can be Enchanted to make Power Attack kills restore Essence or make Parried enemies receive high Fire and Poison Accumulation.
Soul Reaver
Power Attack kills restore 10% of your Maximum Essence
Soul Obliteration
Power Attack kills restore 15% of your Maximum Essence
Corrupting Parry
A successful Parry deals high Fire and Poison Accumulation to the attacking enemy
Emotional
Hits deal +10% bonus Fire Damage against enemies above 50% Maximum Health
Hits deal 10% bonus Frost Damage against enemies below 50% Maximum Health
I highly recommend investing some Ability Points into the level 15 talents Secret of Rime and Scion of Flame so that you can reliably ignite and freeze enemies.
You can loot Hel’s Tongue from beneath a Xaurip sculpture near the Memory on the Twin Offerings Overlook in the Great Sand Sea in Shatterscarp.
Just Pestle (Greathammer)
Just Pestle is a powerful non-elemental Greathammer that has increased stun power and can be Enchanted to make a full Combo Attack significantly increase your Attack Speed and Attack Damage or make Power Attacks significantly improve your Critical Chance.
Grinding Mortar
A Full Combo Attack gives you +20% Attack Speed and +10% Attack Damage for 12s
Give and Receive
A Full Combo Attack gives you +30% Attack Speed and +15% Attack Damage for 15s
Nothing Left to Chance
Power Attacks give you +15% Critical Hit Chance for 10s
Stunning
+15% Stun
You can loot the Just Pestle from a secret room on the top elevator level in the Sulfur Mines of the Deadfall Highlands in Shatterscarp.
The switch to open the door is outside of the little room with the secret passage. Follow the cable from the door to the switch.
Shields
There are 3 Shields you can get in Shatterscarp.
Nimanna’s Ward (Shield)
Nimanna’s Ward grants a massive amount of additional survivability passively against Spirits (all ghosts) and some bonus health whenever you Parry.
Soulkeeping Parry
A successful Parry grants you Temporary Health
Spirit Ward
+20% Damage Reduction against Spirits
- Spirits
- Phantoms
- Shadows
- Spectres
- Shades
- Wraiths
You can loot Nimanna’s Ward from a chest after completing the second trial at Naku Kubel in Shatterscarp.
Spindlewalker (Shield)
Spindlewalker is a Unique Shield that makes you immune to webs and gives you a small chance to spurt them yourself after Parrying.
Silkfoot
Webs no longer slow you
Webweaver
A successful Parry has a 20% chance of laying webs that slow enemies
Since webs have such a minimal presence in Avowed and they decided to give a weak effect a low chance on a skill-intensive trigger, I do not recommend using the Spindlewalker.
You can loot the Spindlewalker from a desk in a locked house at the southern edge of Scaedclef in the Ancient Lakebed of Shatterscarp.
The Desert’s Bounty (Shield)
The Desert’s Bounty is an underwhelming Unique Shield that offers some protection from Fire during the day and Frost at night while also improving your maximum Stamina.
Desert Walker
+20% resistance to Fire Accumulation during the day
+20% resistance to Frost Accumulation at night
Peak Conditioning
+30 Maximum Stamina
You can loot The Desert’s Bounty from behind a poorly-concealed secret room inside the Sand Sea Ruins in the Great Sand Sea of Shatterscarp. You have to go here as part of the quest “Heart of Valor”.
Bows, Pistols, and Arquebuses
You can find 1 Bow, 1 Pistol, and 1 Arquebus in Shatterscarp.
Fair Play (Pistol)
Fair Play is a Unique Pistol meant for tanky Fighters and pairs extremely well with The Disappointer, another tanky Unique Pistol.
Recompense
Killing an enemy restores 5% of your Maximum and 25% of your Maximum Stamina
Turnabout
Killing an enemy restores 10% of your Maximum and 50% of your Maximum Stamina
Equal Footing
Power Attacks pull the hit enemy into melee range
Vengeful Shot
Taunt and gain 100% Critical Hit Chance against enemies that Incapacitate one of your Companions
You can Enchant it to make kills restore a bit of Health and a lot of Stamina or make Power Attacks pull the target. It also allows you to absolutely murder any enemy that manages to take down one of your companions.
You can purchase Fair Play from Kampeki, an aumauan Merchant in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp.
Izmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus (Arquebus)
Izmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus is attempting to be a shotgun of sorts rather than a sniper rifle that Arquebuses take after.
Meteoric Burst
Killing an enemy deals low Fire Accumulation to nearby enemies
Meteoric Devastation
Killing an enemy deals moderate Fire Accumulation to nearby enemies
Lingering Inferno
Killing an enemy creates a lingering AoE that deals high Fire Accumulation to nearby enemies
Concussive Grudge
Power Attacks have significantly reduced range but deal high Stun and knock enemies back
You completely lose the ability to snipe enemies with Power Attacks thanks to its mandatory passive, and Enchantments are all about applying some degree of Fire Accumulation to nearby enemies on kill.
If Concussive Grudge were reworked affect regular attacks instead of Power Attacks, it would be far more interesting and worthy of being in a glass case with special dialogue at Kampeki’s shop.
You can purchase Izzmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus from Kampeki, the heavy armor and non-magical weapons vendor in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp.
With Thirdborn’s architecture having a clear Asian influence with the red woodwork, it’s a shame Kampeki’s shop is off in the corner instead of the center of a luxurious plaza. Obsidian dropped a great Cyberpunk 2077 easter egg right on the floor, and I just don’t think that’s acceptable in this economy.
Storm Sworn (Bow)
Storm Sworn is a lightning Bow for all you Aloy RPers out there. It can be Enchanted to apply high Stun and Shock Accumulation to nearby enemies on kill or make Power Attacks cast Crackling Bolt, a level 5 Wizard Spell.
Thunderclap
Killing an enemy deals moderate Stun and Shock Accumulation to nearby enemies
Lightning Strike
Killing an enemy deals high Stun and Shock Accumulation to nearby enemies
Thunderous Shot
Power Attacks cast Crackling Bolt (lvl 5 Wizard spell)
Shocking Lash
Hits deal +10% bonus Shock Damage
Storm Sworn is locked behind a door that requires you to electrify 3 devices to open. The door is located at the eastern edge of the Leviathan’s Hollow in the Deadfall Highlands of Shatterscarp.
Wands and Grimoires
You can find 1 Wand and 1 Grimoire in Shatterscarp, both are related to the Archmage Ryngrim.
Whisper of Exiles (Wand)
Whisper of Exiles is the Frost Wand. It looks neat, but its uninspired Enchantments just allow you to apply Frost accumulation on Parry or completion of a Full Combo. Still, it synergizes quite well with many of the late-game Unique Grimoires.
Flight in Autumn
A Full Combo Attack deals low Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
Exodus in Winter
A Full Combo Attack deals moderate Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
Ill-Fated Return
A successful Parry deals high Frost Accumulation to the attacking enemy
Freezing Lash
Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage
According to the lore description, it was once used by Ryngrim, though she cast it aside eventually. The description says it was because she didn’t need it anymore, but I think it had more to do with being so underwhelming despite being made of intertwined ivory.
You can loot the Whisper of Exiles from a small treasure chest in the center of the Great Sand Sea.
Aurochs-Skin Grimoire
The Aurochs-Skin Grimoire offers a powerful set of spells that work well together and emphasize Frost. It feels like Ryngrim had a second copy of her spellbook lying around so you wouldn’t have to share with Yatzli.
Blast of Frost
Level 10 Frost Spell
Missile Salvo
Level 10 Arcane Spell
Freezing Pillar
Level 15 Frost Spell
Arcane Seal
Level 20 Abjuration Spell
You can loot the Aurochs-Skin Grimoire from a secret chamber inside Ryngrim’s Domain in Shatterscarp. Don’t worry, she doesn’t mind.
The door is on the right hand side as you’re looking at Ryngrim from across the black ice. The button is located on the bookshelf to the right of the door.
