Avowed: All Rings, Amulets, and Trinkets in Shatterscarp

Endonae by Endonae|

There are 15 Accessories in Shatterscarp, the third region in Avowed, including 7 Rings, 3 Amulets, and 5 Trinkets. We’ll show you what they are and how to get them!

All Rings in Shatterscarp

There are 7 Rings in Shatterscarp. You can equip up to 2 Rings at a time. The associated Quality (color/rarity) does not necessarily represent the usefulness of a given Ring. For example, many Fine (blue) and Exceptional (purple) Rings are some of the best in the game.

Chitin Band

Chitin Band is a defensive ring that provides a ton of protection from a single enemy category, Beasts, that includes all animals you fight.

Chitin Band Icon

Primal Aura

+20% damage reduction against Beasts

  • Beasts
    • Bears
    • Beetles
    • Battlestar Galactica
    • Spiders

You can loot the Chitin Band from a specific normal Skeleton enemy by a bunch of bugs west of the Strangled Adra Pillar on Broken Crown Rock in the Great Sand Sea of Shatterscarp.

Cipher’s Bestowed Focus

Cipher’s Bestowed Focus is only worth using in conjunction with the Ring of Minor Deflection. If you’re only gonna use one, the Ring of Minor Deflection is better. If you’re using the Berserker Set, this is a good Ring to use alongside the Ring of Major Deflection.

Cipher's Bestowed Focus Icon

Pain Blocker

+5% Damage Reduction while your Health is below 30%

You can loot the Cipher’s Bestowed Focus from a shack on the northern edge of the Ruined Village at Shark’s Teeth in Shatterscarp.

Ring of Elemental Balance

The Ring of Elemental Balance increases the Accumulation dealt by your elemental damage by 10%. I recommend using it in conjunction with the level 15 Passives in the Wizard Tree if you want as much of a single element’s Accumulation as possible, or in lieu of those Passives if you’re going for multiple.

Ring of Elemental Balance Icon

Elemental Balance

+10% Fire, Frost, and Shock Accumulation

You can loot the Ring of Elemental Balance from a chest in a makeshift prison within the Shrine to Wael on the Ancient Lakebed in Shatterscarp.

Ring of Prosperity’s Fortune

If you’re not interested in the Armor sold by Merchants in Galawain’s Tusks, you’ll have a ton of money at the game. That’s when you should equip the Ring of Prosperity’s Fortune.

Ring of Prosperity's Fortune Icon

The Power of Money

Critical Hit Chance increases with your total wealth

You receive the Ring of Prosperity’s Fortune from Captain Ngunu at The Dead Swordfish in Thirdborn for completing his quest “One Last Drink”. You get it from him before your decision has consequences.

Sands’ Shroud

Sands’ Shroud protects you from some ranged damage including arrows, bullets, and spells. It’s useful for tanky melee Fighter builds.

Sands' Shroud Icon

Desert Mirage

+10% chance to avoid ranged damage

You can loot the Sands’ Shroud from a corpse near Tama’s Badge, south of Tago’s Tower in Sharks Teeth in Shatterscarp.

Sigil of the Arcane

Sigil of the Arcane is one of the best rings in the game for Wizards, though it has value for any build that uses a lot of abilities.

Sigil of the Arcane Icon

Thaumaturge’s Expertise

+20% Ability Cast Speed
-20% Ability Essence Cost

You can loot the Sigil of the Arcane from a chest in a room locked by 3 devices that must be electrified in Shark’s Teeth in Shatterscarp. Check out our guide on Master Engineer Yor’s Door Puzzle for more information.

The Ranga’s Clarity

The Ranga’s Clarity offers a combined +4 Attribute Points, which is a decent amount. If you don’t have a solid percentage-based alternative, this Ring is worth considering. The attributes it provides don’t matter that much because you can respec to redistribute them as needed.

The Ranga's Clarity Icon

Belated Wisdom

+2 Intellect
+2 Perception

You can loot The Ranga’s Clarity from a chest after completing the final trial in Naku Kubel in Shatterscarp.

All Amulets and Trinkets in Shatterscarp

There are 8 Amulets and Trinkets in Shatterscarp. Both items share a slot, but there is no effective difference between Amulets and Trinkets. The term that is used is determined by whichever is a more accurate descriptor of the item itself. For example, if it’s a necklace, they’re gonna call it an Amulet.

Crystalline Egg

Crystalline Egg gives you an ability to summon 3 little crystal spiders to aid you in combat. As someone who can’t stand spiders, I recommend throwing it in the trash. If you aren’t like me, it’s not terrible.

Crystalline Egg icon

Arachnid Alliance

Cost: 40 Essence
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Summons a trio of Crystal Eater Spiderlings to fight with you

You can loot the Crystaline Egg from a spider-infested area above the entrance to the Sulfur Mines in the Deadfall Highlands of Shatterscarp.

Draconic Charm

Draconic Charm effectively gives you the ability to cast Fan of Flames, a level 1 Wizard Ability, except it has a much longer cooldown and costs much more Essence.

Draconic Charm Icon

Sacrificial Breath

Cost: 40 Essence
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Channel a Xaurip tribe’s draconic deity to become Uninterruptible and breathe fire at your enemies.

You receive the Draconic Charm in exchange for handing over the Strange Xaurip Spear to this lunatic outside of Ryngrim’s Domain in Shark’s Teeth in Shatterscarp.

The Strange Xaurip Spear is lying on the ground next to a dead Xaurip in the blizzard you walk through the first time you try to enter Ryngrim’s Domain as part of the Main Story quest “Face Your Fears”.

Halma’s Fancy

Halma’s Fancy gives you +3 Attribute Points on a Trinket/Amulet and a bit of Essence. The stat doesn’t matter that much because you can respec to make the points work for most builds. It’s better than most blue percentage-based trinkets and buffs, so consider using it if your Amulet/Trinket isn’t fulfilling a specific purpose.

Halma's Fancy Icon

Sartorial Splendor

+3 Perception
+20 Maximum Essence

You can purchase Halma’s Fancy from the magic supplies and linens Merchant in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp.

Heart of the Leviathan

Heart of the Leviathan turns you into a glass cannon. Your health will drop precipitously, and you really need to rely on Giatta for healing or high survivability from the Fighter tree to make this worthwhile. It does not trigger effects that trigger on damage.

Heart of the Leviathan Icon

Sacrificial Might

+25% Damage Dealt
Your Health drains over time

You receive the Heart of Leviathan as a Trinket instead of Umpara’s Spear if you choose not to give Keipo the heart at the end of his quest “Heart of Valor” in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp.

Poisoner’s Kit

Poisoner’s Kit works best with weapons that already deal Poison Damage and synergizes with the Vindictive Band.

Poisoner's Kit Icon

Envenomed Weapons

Your weapons deal +5% bonus Poison Damage

You receive the Poisoner’s Kit from Daiko in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp for completing his quest “The Wasteland Courier”. It does not matter if you choose to give the completely legal package to Daiko or Tira Nui Hajime, you will still get the Poisoner’s Kit.

Thirdborn Tira Nui Badge

The Thirdborn Tira Nui Badge gives you +3 Attribute Points on a Trinket/Amulet. The stat doesn’t matter that much because you can respec to make the points work for most builds. It’s better than most blue percentage-based trinkets and buffs and more versatile than Halma’s Fancy, so consider using it if your Amulet/Trinket isn’t fulfilling a specific purpose. Wear your gold star with pride!

Thirdborn Tira Nui Badge Icon

The Might of Thirdborn

+3 Might

You receive the Thirdborn Tira Nui Badge from the clinically depressed orlan, Tira Nui Hajime, in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp, only if you turn in Daiko’s package to him instead as part of the quest “The Wasteland Courier”. This Trinket is unobtainable if you give Daiko the drugs instead.

Umpara’s Promise

Umpara’s Promise makes you immune to physical damage from traps. It does not protect you from elemental damage, like Fire. Unfortunately, there aren’t any major trabstacle courses after you get through the Sand Sea Ruins, so it’s more of a joke.

Umpara's Promise Icon

Trapsmith’s Safeguard

Negates all Physical Damage from Traps

Umpara’s Promise is resting on a piece of wood near the wreckage of her and Keipo’s ship in the Sand Sea Ruins of the Great Sand Sea of Shatterscarp. You have to go here as part of the quest “Heart of Valor“.

Wahaki Tua

Wahaki Tua is a must-have if you’re using a Mace or Spear. It’s one of the best Amulets in the game for such builds.

Wahaki Tua Icon

Elite Prowess

+10% Attack Damage with Maces and Spears

You can loot Wahaki Tua from a chest at an orlan poet’s campsite behind a waterfall north of the Sulfur Mines on the Deadfall Heights of Shatterscarp.

Endonae is a passionate gamer who's particularly fond of challenging action RPGs and open world games with visceral combat. The closer it is to being a Soulslike, the better. Ranged casters, particularly of the energy or elemental variety, are his bread and butter. Lightsabers are pretty cool, too.
