Each region of the Living Lands has a spot that reopens a wound in Sapadal’s memory, giving you insight into their past, and more importantly, giving you a permanent buff. We’ll show you where each one is and what you get.

What are Memories in Avowed?
Memories let you RP your way through a PowerPoint presentation of concept art from the perspective of a former Ekidan Godlike of Sapadal.
Each tells a story of one of Sapadal’s cataclysmic tantrums, giving you the opportunity to teach or scold your patron.
At the end of each storyboard for a Breath of the Wild-style flashback, you receive a permanent 10% buff to one of your stats. There’s also a Unique Weapon near each Memory, some of which are directly related to the events you just witnessed.
Each region, including the Garden, has a Memory, and you get an achievement for completing all Ancient Memories called “We Remember”.
Dawnshore Memory
Remembrance of Kishmal
Increases your Maximum Health by 10%
The Dawnshore Memory is located at the Watcher’s Mirror on the western edge of The Rise.
Upon experiencing the Memory, a pedestal will rise from the mirror holding an Axe called Drawn in Winter. Be prepared to fight a lot of skeletons as soon as you pick it up.
Emerald Stair Memory
Remembrance of Enhekala
Increases your Maximum Essence by 10%
The Emerald Stair Memory is located atop the Ranger Outpost (not the Headquarters) in The Wildwoods overlooking Naku Kubel.
As you travel back down, you can see a section of the Godless ruins you probably missed during the climb. There’s a destructible wall with a sarcophagus inside. It just contains a bunch of generic loot, which is unexpected.
I believe it was meant to house the dagger from the Memory, likely either Sheathed in Summer or Survivor’s Guilt. The former has matching wordplay with Drawn in Winter from the first region, while the latter’s name fits better with the Memory’s themes and is found in the same region.
Shatterscarp Memory
Remembrance of Nimanna
Increases your Maximum Stamina by 10%
The Shatterscarp Memory is located at the top of the Twin Offerings Overlook in the Great Sand Sea. You’ll need to fight your way through a Xaurip Camp and defeat its chieftain who has a Bounty on their head to reach the Memory.
You can loot Hel’s Tongue from beneath a nearby Xaurip Sculpture. The weapon doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the memory itself, but it looks just like the flamberge wielded by Inquisitor Lödwyn.
There is also a Shield inside Naku Kubel that shares a name with the Godlike in this Memory, Nimanna’s Ward.
Galawain’s Tusks Memory
Remembrance of Maru
Increases your Attack Damage by 10%
The Galawain’s Tusks Memory is located in the Restless Cavern in the southwesternmost part of the Slumbering Fields and region as a whole.
You can dislodge Sheda Le Subi, an Axe, from a dead tree right next to the Memory. This Axe was likely the one used to cut down the flowering tree that was in the way of the Ekidan aqueduct.
The Garden Memory
Remembrance of Sapadal
Your Health constantly regenerates while below 50%
The Garden Memory is located behind a door at the southern edge of the Broken Aqueduct.
There are 2 weapons associated with this Memory, both embedded in fallen Maegfolk at the Broken Aqueduct, including the Unmaker (Greatsword) and Inevitability (Greathammer). Both are Two-Handed Weapons forged by the Ekida for the express purpose of quelling the Maegfolk.
