Star Wars Panels Celebration Japan Schedule reveal
All panels for Star Wars Celebration have been revealed. There’s something for everybody; Fans of toys, cosplay, animated series, movies, production, and more! These are the three that I’m most excited about.
For full information about all the panels, you can check the official site.
The Mandalorian and Grogu
Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will be showing a sneak peek of what we can expect to see from the movie coming up in 2026. Special guests will also join the panel but no specific names have been mentioned.
Andor A Star Wars Story
Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, and cast members will discuss the second season of the series. They will also show something, my guess is that they will screen the first episodes as it has happened in previous Celebrations.
First Look: Star Wars: Visions Volume 3
Even more sneak peeks, this time from the third volume of Star Wars Visions. What better place to celebrate animated Star Wars than Japan? New and returning studios will show something of what we’ll see when Volume 3 releases later this year. Hopefully, they’ll also announce the release date.
Star Wars Hunters is shutting down
Star Wars Hunters was first announced in 2022, for a couple of years they were very silent about it and it was finally released in June of 2024. Which is very surprising and disappointing to learn that they have announced the game is shutting down in October.
Having this announcement less than a year after its release speaks volumes of how badly the game performed. The beta test for PC took place just a couple of months ago. I even managed to get a key for it and was hopeful that the game would last for a few years.
This should be a reality check for many developers and studios, having a massive IP does not guarantee the success of a game. People’s standards are higher and they are not afraid of turning their backs on a game if it does not meet their expectations.
With that said, it’s still a shame that all the effort put into it is going down the sewers. Another Star Wars title joins the list of failed games.

New turn-based game to be announced at SWC 2025
Respawn, Bit Reactor, and Lucasfilm will showcase the first look at a turn-based game they have been working on for the last few years. Surprisingly, nothing has been leaked so we’re really going into it without knowing anything.
There are different types of turn-based games, it could be a Tactical RPG, a TCG, or a strategy game. It’s been a while since we got a Star Wars game that wasn’t an action-adventure game so it’s refreshing to know that we’re getting something different for once.
Narrative director Aaron Contreras (Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor narrative director) and Creative Director Greg Foertsch, and Respawn Producer Jim Vessella will host the panel on April 19th.
Andor showrunner answers questions from fans
The Star Wars YouTube channel broadcasted a special event with Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy. Without going into much detail, he discussed how it was to do Season 2 of Andor. Characters, costumes, scenes, and a few other interesting topics. This lasted over an entire hour.
Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen), Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma), and Duncan Pow (Ruescot Melshi) also joined the stream to discuss their characters and spoiler-free thoughts about the season.
Some questions were pre-recorded while others were taken from the live chat. The full video is up on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.
