How to fully explore the Makino Kurumazuka Kofun in Izumi Settsu, and get the Legendary Bow Blush of the Earth.
How to access the Kofun
The Makino Kurumazuka Kofun is located on the north side of the Yawata Plains. It’s east of Takatsuki and southwest of the Ogura Pond. The entrance is surrounded by clay vases and two lampposts will serve as a visual reference if you are playing during nighttime.
Please note that this Kofun can only be completed with Yasuke. You will also need to have arrows or bullets in your inventory.

Makino Kurumazuka Kofun Walkthrough
There are two optional treasure chests with gear. The big one at the end will grant you the Legendary Bow Blush of the Earth.
Take the exploding barrel that’s outside of the tomb and place it close to the blocked entrance. Get to a safe distance and shoot it.
These barrels are called Horokubiya but for practical reasons, we will refer to them as “exploding barrels”.
In the first room, you will find a small chest that contains the Defender Clothing uncommon armor. The path ahead is blocked by a huge wooden crate, Yasuke can interact with it but you can’t move it from this side of the room. Continue through the unblocked path.
Another wooden crate is ahead of you, but this one can be moved. Push it all the way to the end. Don’t forget to light up all the candles you see, while their light doesn’t make a true difference, it’s a good way to mark the way behind you. It’s easy to get lost and confused in most Kofun.
Follow the stairs that lead to a lower level. Surprise! Another wooden crate. Pull it towards you and proceed through the now unblocked entrance.
After passing through a slightly flooded area you’ll end up in a room with two exploding barrels and an entrance blocked by rocks. Blow it up. Then grab the second barrel and proceed to the next room.
Take the stairs and repeat the process with the rocks that block the path. It can be hard to spot from a few meters due to the lighting of this area, it’s on the opposite corner of the stairs.
You will go downstairs, turning left leads to a room with a chest that contains Oakwood x32, Ironsand x37, Spinning Top x1, and Mon x93. There is nothing beyond this room, return to where you came from.
The area is flooded but don’t hesitate to swim to the other side. There’s a chest under the water, it contains Edamame 1x, Silk x31, and Hemp Cloth x42.
Continue through multiple stairs until you see this entrance blocked by three boxes. Cut them down and grab one of the exploding barrels that’s inside, then head to the next room.
There’s another entrance blocked by rocks but you can’t get there without falling. Throw the barrel close to the rocks and detonate it. Jump over there and turn right.
This room only has bullets and arrows, they might not be as valuable as other things but it’s a good way to restock some of the ammo you have used just for this Kafun. Return to where you came from, you’ll immediately notice a small cavity. Crawl under it.
You are now in a big room with a rope that connects the two opposing sides. Yasuke is too heavy to walk over it, it’ll break as soon as you step on it. Head down and pull the wooden crate all the way back.
Then place it next to the wall at the end of the room. This is how you get out of here.
Before moving on you should return to where the crate was first positioned and loot the chest. It contains Onimaru’s Katana of the Bastion. Now you can climb the crate and move to the next area.
This room has multiple elements that you will notice. An entrance blocked by rocks up ahead, a wooden crate, on the right side some stairs, and on the left side another wooden crate blocking the path. The stairs lead to another room with yet another wooden crate blocking the way but that is unmovable from this position.
Pull the first crate towards the entrance of this room. Then pull the crate that’s on the left side. Now that that is clear, follow that path. It will lead to the room that was inaccessible from the stairs.
Move the crates to the sides, grab the barrel, and go to the next room (which in theory, is the previous room).
Throw the barrel next to the entrance blocked by rocks, and make sure to put it as close to them. Then shoot it.
This leads to the final part of the Kofun, which has a chest that contains the Legendary Bow Blush of the Earth.
