The Path of Silence is a parkour challenge for Naoe, located in the Iga region in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It leads to the Iga Assassin Outpost. The rewards include Yu-No-Shin’s Gear and a Knowledge Point.

What are the Hidden Trails
Hidden Trails are linear traversal challenges in the open world where Naoe has to parkour a difficult terrain from the starting point to the end, where a treasure chest awaits.
Several of the Paths are part of The Assassins story arc for Naoe where she discovers the secrets of the Assassin’ Creed in Japan and her own family’s past and role in all of this.
The Hidden Trails are labeled on the map with red markers and their names start with “Path of …”. You can complete them at any point. There is no combat involved on these Paths (except at the Kii Assassin Outpost). The gear piece you receive in the end, will usually try to match the current level of your character.

How to start the Path of the Shadows
The Path of Shadows starts south of the Akame Shi Waterfalls in the Nabari Wilds, in Iga. The Nabari Lookout Viewpoint is northwest of the Path’s starting point, but you still have to cover a considerable distance by foot. Following the river will take you to the starting point of the Path of Shadows.

You’ll start close to the water stream. There’s a lamp post ahead, climb the wall that’s in front of it. Remember that candles indicate the path to follow, they are extremely useful when it’s dark and raining.
Use Naoe’s hook to get to the lamp post on the ledge’s other side. After a few meters, you’ll see a big branch that serves as a small platform. Jump from there and hang on to the wall.
Get to the top, you will see a massive rock blocking the way. Climb it and follow the yellow markers until you reach the top.
A big tree that divides into multiple branches lies ahead. Walk to the small wooden platform that’s in the middle of it. Jump forward, if it’s raining and dark, it could look like a dangerous choice but fear not. Naoe will land without any issues. Once in that tree, walk to the wooden platform and use the hook to get to the next ledge.
Walk over the rope and jump down when you reach the other side. There is only one path to follow.
Follow the lam posts until the road divides in two. You will see a big rock on the left side, the treasure chest is in front of it. The chest icon will pop up as soon as you’re close enough.
As with every other Hidden Trail chest, this one will be next to a rock that’s split in two.
Yu-No-Shin’s Gear
This is an epic Light Armor piece with an embedded Engraving that increases her Armor Damage on hitting afflicted enemies by 28%. A good option to fight enemies who are bleeding.

Iga Assassin Outpost
The Outpost is at the endpoint of the Path of Shadows. It contains a letter that reveals the fact that Kakushiba Ikki called themselves Assassins.
This is part of Naoe’s quest The Assassins, where she learns more of her family’s past and the creed’s history in Japan. The lettter reveals what happened at the Kofun.
