Shimosatu Kofun Walkthrough
There are four optional treasure chests with epic gear. The big one at the end, will grant you the Legendary Naginata Riddle of Steel.
Immediately after entering you’ll spot a chest in the corner. Move the wooden crate to the side, if it appears stuck try pulling it first from its left side.
You’ll end up in a room with a pond. Dive, and follow the only available route.
The next area has one entrance blocked by rocks. If you turn to your left, you’ll see a wooden crate at the end of the hallway. You can’t move it from this side, but an exploding barrel is just a few steps away from it. Grab one and place it in front of the rocks.
With the rocks blown out, go to the next area. You must dive for this one, if you swim without stopping, you’ll get to the next room when your oxygen bar is around 15%-20%. Try not to take too long or it can prove fatal.
After emerging from the water, you will see one path obstructed with rocks and a second one completely unblocked. Take the second one, it’s a dead end but there’s a small gap in the wall that will let you shoot through it and destroy the exploding barrel. This will clear the first path, which you should follow.
After crawling for a few seconds you will spot another blocked entrance at the end of the hallway. There are two areas on the right and left sides.
On the right, you will find arrows and bullets. The left one has two wooden crates, move them to clear the path and take the exploding barrel that’s just a few steps ahead. Bring it back to the blocked entrance of the previous area and shoot it.
You’ll have to follow a linear path, push a crate to access an area, and then push that crate again in order to reach a second level. Over there, you must repeat the process and move the crate that’s there so you’re able to get to the upper level. Before going forward, turn to your right and loot the chest that contains the Rare Warden Helmet.
Proceed to the next hallway and just move forward without taking any detours. At one point you will see a small boulder but Yasuke can easily leap over it. After a few seconds, you will be in a huge room with a big pond. Get in the water.
There are two routes, to make things more efficient I suggest that you go down first. This route is super straightforward, you will end up in the room that has a chest, it contains the Unstoppable Giant Epic Amulet. The exit of this room is in front of the chest, you have to jump into the water and take the other route.
The following area has a single entrance, which is distinguishable by the two geese statues on each side. Go inside, and from the distance, you’ll spot another chest. This one has the Covert Servant Kosode Epic Light Armor. Turn right and head to the subsequent room.
Use the exploding barrel to blow the rocks. A wooden crate will be revealed, pull it all the way back until it’s next to the wall. Use it as a platform to climb and follow the path.
After treading for a few seconds you will reach the final and most important chest of this Kofun. Inside it, you will find the Legendary Naginata, Riddle of Steel.
