How to start the Kurai Eikyou quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, where to find the Kurai Eikyou, and what rewards you gain from all of this.
A mysterious group often thought to be spirits is causing panic in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This group known as the Kurai Eikyou is one of your objectives of assassination targets.

How to start the Kurai Eikyou quest
You’ll gain access to the Kurai Eikyou quest after completing the quest A Chance Encounter. A Chance Encounter is the first quest gained when you start hunting down The Wise of the Shinbakufu.
There have been reports of spirits causing trouble in Yamato. The shrine maiden of Omiwa Shrine believes that this is the doing of men. She’ll tell you this as she walks you around Omiwa Shrine during A Chance Encounter. You’ll return to her once you assassinate the Kurai Eikyou.
Where to find all targets
You’ll encounter a good chunk of the Kurai Eikyou as you’re completing quests for tracking down The Wise of the Shinbakufu. If you stick to that series of quests, finding the Kurai Eikyou should be easy.
The Akiyama Agent
The first target you’ll have access to is the Akiyama Agent. He is located at the Daimyo Residence of Uda Matsumaya Castle in east Yamato. He’s hard to miss due to the deer antlers on his helmet.
You’re most likely to encounter the Akiyama Agent while on the quest Lost Envoys of The Wise’s questline. After assassinating the Akiyama Agent, you’ll gain the following rewards:

The Katsuragi Agent
The Katsuragi Agent can be found at Gokenin Manor in Katsuragi, Yamato. This manor is in the southern of of Katsuragi and is guarded by soldiers. The Katsuragi Agent is one of the more dangerous members of the Kurai Eikyou as he’ll hit hard with his kanobo.
You can encounter the Katsuragi Agent while on the quest Restless Spirits of The Wise questline. You’ll gain the following rewards after assassinating the Katsuragi Agent:

The Blacksmith Agent
The Blacksmith Agent is in Miyataki, a small town in east Yamato north of the river above Yoshino.
He’s not too far from the Tsutsui envoys while you’re on the quest The Lost Envoys. That would be a good time to deal with him. You’ll gain the following rewards for assassinating The Blacksmith Agent:

The Tsutsui Agent
The Tsutsui Agent is located in the Retainers’ Quarters of Koriyama Castle. You’ll find Koriyama Castle in northeastern Yamato, west of Nara Heartland.
You’ll gain the following rewards for assassinating the Tsutsui Agent:

The Messenger
The Messenger is said to meditate in temples at night, but he can also be found during the day. You’ll find him at Kofukuji Temple in Nara Heartland, Yamato.
You’re guaranteed to run into The Messenger during the climax of the quest Darkness Falls of The Wise questline. You’ll gain the following rewards for assassinating The Messenger:

+100% of an Adrenaline Chunk on Affliction trigger

Return to Fuyu
Once all of the Kurai Eikyou have been assassinated, return to Omiwa Shrine and talk to Fuyu. She’ll ask you to return to where you first met Kojiro as he left a gift. Pick up the gift to complete the quest.
