How to start Valuable Reflections
To start the quest Valuable Reflections, you’ll need to talk to Niwa Nahagide in Obama. You need to complete the quest The Performer where you assassinate The Fox of the Shinbakufu.
Niwa Nagahide asks that you bring him back any valuable rarities and objects you run into during your travels. There will be a total of ten treasures you’ll need to find.
Ammo Box
The Ammo Box is in a small building in the northwestern part of Saika Castle in Kii. It’s the building surrounded by the northern pond.
Calligraphy Set
The Calligraphy Set will be in the northeast corner of Kofukuji Temple in Yamato. Be mindful of the hostile monks guarding this area of the temple.
Chinese Lacquered Furniture
The Chinese Lacquered Furniture will be found in Kameyama Castle, Tamba. It’ll be inside the tenshu of the castle.
Clockwork
The Clockwork will be within the tenshu of Omizo Castle, Omi.
Fan
The Fan will be within Miyazu Castle, Wakasa.
Flower Vase
The Flower Vase will be within Sandanbeki Cave in southern Kii. This cave is particularly dangerous as it’s the home of The Winter Raiders. If you come here outside of winter, you’ll run into multiple tough opponents that usually spread out during the winter.
Insect Cage
The Insect Cage will be inside the tenshu of Katano Castle in the Izumi Settsu province. The room it’s in has a nightingale floor that will squeak if you walk too fast on it.
Kimono
The Kimono is in Hiruga Bay, Wakasa. This area is dangerous as it’s filled with bandits, but they aren’t too difficult to dispatch.
Sake Flask
The Sake Flash is in the tenshu of Amagasaki Castle, Izumi Settsu.
Umbrella
The Umbrella is in Yamazaki Castle in southern Yamashiro.
Return to Niwa Nagahide
Return to Niwa Nagahide to turn in all of the treasures you found. He’ll have one more request of you, to find a Spinning Top in Kara Market, Obama. Find the Toymaker, talk to him, and say “I’d like to pay” to receive the top.
Return to Niwa Nagahide to complete the quest. It turns out all of these treasures are a gift for his wife who is losing her vision. He wanted to show her all of these wonderful objects before she goes blind.
It’s a sweet moment and for your efforts, you’ll be rewarded with 1,000 XP. It’s not much but you helped an aging couple form cherished memories.
