From the High Republic to Palpatine’s homeworld. Here are the hidden details and references I found in Episodes 10-12 of Andor Season 2!
In my Andor Season 2, Episodes 10-12 review, you will find my in-depth analysis and thoughts of each scene and events that took place during this week’s episodes. I recommend that you either read the review or watch the episodes first before jumping to the easter eggs below.
Tooka Cat
After Luthen kills Lonni, we can see a funny-looking creature get close to the Supervisor’s body. This is a Tooka Cat, a feline used to eat pests. The Loth-cat, which we’ve seen in Rebels and Ahsoka, is a subspecies of this animal.
The Tooka that appears in this scene is named Pix, as a homage to the recently deceased dog of one of the visual effects artists.
Nautolan Bleeder
As Luthan mentions, the weapon he uses to prevent Dedra from taking him alive is a Nautolan bleeder. If you pay attention, you can see the head of a Nautolan at the top of the hilt.
Nautolans are an amphibious species from the planet Glee Anselm. The most well-known Nautolan in Star Wars is Jedi Master Kit Fisto.

Imperial Starpath unit
Dedra presents Luthen with the same piece of technology that Cassian stole and almost sold to him before they got raided by the Morlana corps led by Syril Karn. All of this happened in the first arc of the first season.
Lina Soh Hospital
The hospital where Luthen is taken is named after Lina Soh, a Chancellor who served during the High Republic era.
Lockpicking tech
Kleya uses a strange piece to open some lockers at the hospital. This reminds me a lot of the lockpicking mini-game that we have in Star Wars Outlaws.
Bottom: A lockpick from the video game
Devaronian jewelry
Luthen sells a Devaronian victory necklace. Devaronians are devil-like humanoid species that stand out thanks to their red skin and their two horns. This species appears in A New Hope and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Grandma alien
The funny grandma alien that Kleya uses as a cover in the hospital is from a species that first appeared in Season 1, when we see Cassian walking the beaches of Niamos.
Changing roles
In Season 1, Syril Karn was interrogated after he was caught trying to dig for information related to Cassian Andor. When Dedra Meero is arrested, she’s placed in the same interrogation room.
More Valencia
The scene where we see little Kleya with Luthen was filmed at the Xàtiva Castle, a medieval stronghold located south of Valencia, Spain.
Back to Naboo
The bombing of the bridge takes place on Naboo. While the reason why Luthen chose that planet is unclear, it might be related to the planet being the homeworld of Emperor Palpatine.
Swapping identity
In Luthen’s flashback, we hear that another soldier calls him Sergeant Lear. Once he left that life behind, he took his name and spelled it backwards to create a new identity. Lear <> Rael.
Mudtroopers
Also, during the flashback sequence, we can see the uniforms of Mudtroopers. These troops were last seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
New board game
The game that Cassian, Melshi, and K-2SO play in Cassian’s home is called Rianza. It was created by the art/graphics department. Heavily inspired by ancient Mahjong sets and dominoes.
Serve me more of that
Cassian and Melshi are drinking something called Revnog. This is the same thing that the two Preox Morlana officers ordered at the brothel in the first sequence of the first episode.
Pao
The creature known as “Paodok’Draba’Takat Sap’De’Rekti Nik’Linke’Ti’ Ki’Vef’Nik’NeSevef’Li’Kek” or “Pao” that we see training with Melshi is among the troopers that join Cassian and Jyn Erso on the Scarif incursion.
Antoc Merrick
During Cassian’s brief, the council mentions that Merrick is coming back the next day. Antock Merrick is a general and the leader of Blue Squadron. He fights and dies in the battle of Scarif.
Narkina 5
At the end of the 12th episode, Dedra Meero appears as a prisoner in Narkina 5. The same prison where Cassian was held during the first season.
Ready for Rogue One
In this last arc, Cassian’s entire looks is the same that he has in Rogue One. Haircut, facial hair, and all his entire costume which was recreated from scratch by Michael Wilkinson’s costume department.
What a way to end
The last shot of the series shows Bix and her baby on the fields of Mina Rau. It is very similar to Cassian’s last moments. I guess we could consider them the two possible outcomes for anyone who’s been involved in this fight.
Neither is completely happy, sad, or tragic. Both have all three elements, and that’s what makes them so powerful.

Ten years of Diego Luna as Cassian Andor
On May 13, 2015, Diego Luna was officially announced as Cassian Andor for the Rogue One film. Exactly ten years later, the second and final season of Andor has come to an end, and with it, his participation in Star Wars. One of the best Star Wars TV Series ever made.
