Andor gets 14 Emmy nominations

Season 2 of Andor continues to be a topic of interest. This time, due to its 14 nominations for the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Star Wars series rarely get acknowledged in these types of award events, so it’s really nice to see that the work and passion put into the show are being recognized.

However, one very “odd” thing is that not a single member of the main cast was nominated for individual performances. Diego Luna, Denise Gough, Stellan Skarsgard, Adria Arjona, Elizabeth Dulau, or Adria Arjona. Only Forest Whitaker was nominated for the Outstanding Guest Actor category.

Many people, including Alan Tudyk, have expressed their opinions about this with the hashtag #DiegoLunawasrobbed.

There are many theories on the internet, but in the end, being nominated or not for a popularity contest doesn’t make the series any less good.

This is the full list of nominations:

  • Outstanding Drama Series
  • Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Period Or Fantasy Program (One Hour Or More)
  • Outstanding Cinematography For A Series (One Hour)

Darth Vader’s lightsaber is up for auction

The original lightsaber used by Dave Prowse and Bob Anderson (stunt double) during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi is going to the Propstore for an auction that’s taking place on L.A. this September.

We are still a few months away from the auction, but it is estimated that the lightsaber is going to sell between one and three million dollars.

This is probably one of the coolest items any Star Wars collector but with such a price tag, it’s probably going to end up in a museum or at Rancho Obi-Wan.
