What are Projects
Projects are a reward-tracking system that you can use to level up and obtain very rare resources and exclusive items. It’s similar to Battle Pass in live service games.
The way you progress through the track by collecting Data Fragments. The rewards you earn from Projects are Keys, Gold chunks, Encrypted Data Files, and the exclusive Cerulean weapons and equipment. As of July 2025, there are currently three Projects available: The Legacy, Awakening and Mnemosyne.
You can only have one Project active at a time. It’s possible to switch between them. Progression on the other project is not lost when you switch.
What are anomalies
Anomalies are weekly missions that now reset every 3.5 days (from 7 days). Open the Animus Board or the Objective Board to see them. Each Anomaly grants XP and Data Fragments.
These anomalies have different objectives depending on which ones you get. One week you can get two of the same type and the next one all might be different from each other. Here is a list for the different objectives:
- Gather Mon / Resources (for resources: Castles or Contracts)
- Kill a determined number of certain enemy type
- Mining echoes (Involves going to a specific point inside hostile territory)
- Purge a corrupt entity (Assassinating a specific target)
- Stabilize the Tournament (Defeat multiple opponents at the Tournament Arena, but first, you must complete The Tournament quest)
There are also Rifts, which involve following glowing nodes in a determined area. Rifts are related to genetic memories in an Animus simulation.
It involves listening to an unknown entity in a digital world. You will see these rifts when doing the main story quests.
The Animus Board on the Objectives Board tells you what the current anomalies are (top) and if there are any Rifts available (bottom). Tracking them will show them on the map with a purple icon.
