Hidden Items
This group of items are the truly one-of-a-kind items in the game. These are off the beaten path and often are direct upgrades over existing items.
Bushwhacker
The Bushwhacker is an improved version of the Spider Stringer Bow, upgraded with more damage and a unique perk. This Unique Bow can only be found in a hidden chest tucked away in the hedge area north of the Snackbar.
When geared properly, the Bushwhacker allows for immense damage on an opening shot. This requires the Ranger Archetype Perk to be maxed, the Marksman Cap, Nifty Needle Trinket, and a target with a Weakness or Weak Point.
Where to Find the Bushwhacker in Grounded 2Crimson Avenger
The Crimson Avenger is an improved version of the Crimson Saber, upgraded with increased damage and a unique perk. This Unique Bow can be found stuck in a Gum Nugget hidden in the Memorial Crate tucked deep within the Spider Den Anthill.
The Crimson Avenger is the strongest One-Handed Sword currently available. It’s Spider Criticals Perk makes it a potent early game weapon where Spiders are among the toughest enemies available.
Where to find the Crimson Avenger in Grounded 2Eco Exploitation Token
The Eco Exploitation Token is an Ominent Trinket, carrying both a positive and a negative perk. This one carries Hauling Strength and Arachnophobia as its perks. This hidden Trinket can be found in the Spider Den Anthill. Taking a small detour from the path to the Crimson Avenger can net both items in one trip.
It’s Hauling Strength perk increases our Hauling Capacity of Grass Planks and Weed Stems by 5. Arachnophobia, however, reduces all damage dealt to Spiders by 50% as a trade-off for the positive perk.
Gloom Skewer
The Gloom Skewer is an improved version of the Larvalance, upgraded with increased Damage and a unique perk. This Unique Spear can be found in the Toxic Anthill, guarded by a Cockroach Queen.
The unique perk of this weapon reduces enemy Resistance to Stab Damage. This not only makes it a powerful weapon in its own right, but also allows it to buff Bows and Dual Daggers. This lets it function as a support weapon in addition to a main weapon.
Where to find the Gloom Skewer in Grounded 2Heatwave
The Heatwave is an improved version of the Scorching Orb, having better Sizzle application as well as a unique perk. This Unique Staff can be found in the Fire Pit, hidden away behind some charcoal.
The unique perk of the Heatwave isn’t a massive improvement, outside of making enemies and areas that apply Chill easier to deal with. Its ability to build Sizzle faster will add up to more damage over time, which is great for longer encounters where no immunity exists.
Where to Find Heatwave in Grounded 2Ice Sickles
The Ice Sickles are Unique Dual-wielded Swords, being the only weapons of it’s type. In addition to Slashing Damage, this weapon also deals Fresh Damage and can apply Chill and Freeze.
This unique Weapon is only available by completing the Defense event located in the Ice Cream Cart. A second can be crafted by collecting the Mint Globs in the Frostbitten Chest, also located in the Ice Cream Cart.
The Ice Sickles combination of damage types is resisted by very few enemies, with some enemies like the Praying Mantis Nymphs being weak to both types. This allows it to have consistent damage output
Where to Find the Ice Sickles in Grounded 2Myrmecologist Token
The Myrmecologist Token is an Ominent Trinket, carrying both a positive and negative perk. In particular, this one carries Ant Damage and Damage Resist Down as its perks. This Hidden Trinket is located on the dead Ominent Employee at the deepest part of the Snackbar Anthill.
For how early this Trinket is available, it can be useful for players confident in their ability to Parry Red Ants, making them an easy and effective way to level up Weapon Perks. Until more species of ants are added, like the Black and Fire Ants present in Grounded 1, this is the only potential use of this trinket.
Pinch Whacker
The Pinch Whacker is a unique One-Handed Mace weapon with perks specialized toward dealing with O.R.C. bugs. This unique weapon can be found tucked in a small cave just North of the Melted Army near the Fire Pit.
The unique Perks of this weapon add AoE Shock Damage to the final hit of its combos. Not only does this provide plenty of extra damage, making it the strongest One-Handed Mace in the game currently. This damage is increased against O.R.C. Bugs, allowing it to swiftly defeat them.
Where to find the Pinch Whacker in Grounded 2Scarlet Aegis
The Scarlet Aegis is an improved version of the Ladyguard Shield. It still retains its full damage blocking potential and gains a new perk to make it a more appealing option. This unique Shield can be found in a cave just South of the Lectern.
As a solo player, it’s a great pick-up if we want to play Fighter and be a tank for our Buggy. This shield will even heal Buggie around us, not only helping our Buggy stay alive, but making it a strong option on Co-op with multiple buggies present.
Where to find the Scarlet Aegis in Grounded 2Spicy Coaltana
The Spicy Coaltana is a unique Two-Handed Sword that can be hard to miss, as the Charred Recipe is found at the very end of the Network Center. However, at the current time, only one can be created by collecting the Sizzling Chest, as it is the only source for Spicy Globs, making it a one-of-a-kind item for now.
The Spicy Coaltana is a fantastic weapon, as it is the only melee option with access to Spicy Damage at the current time without the need for a Trinket. This can even be combined with the Suspicious Mint or Volatile Capacitor to deal damage from three different types at once.
Missable Items
The items below aren’t quite as secretive or restrictive as other Hidden Items. These tend to be easily missed, either due to being overlooked or being exceptionally rare.
Northern Shredders
The Northern Shredder is available early on via the Cryptic Recipe. The special recipe is located in an early quest area that is visited immediately after unlocking the Red Soldier Ant Buggy. Since it doesn’t stand out, it tends to be very easily missed.
Blistering Boiler
The Blistering Boiler is a Trinket that provides the Finale Blastwave Perk. This uniquely allows all melee weapons to apply Spicy Damage and Sizzle by finishing their 3-hit combo attacks. However, its Low Drop Rate from Bombardier Beetles makes it very easy to miss.
Cleaving Claw
The Cleaving Claw grants a massive 25% boost to Critical Strike Chance to Two-Handed Weapons while at low Health. This powerful Trinket is only available as a Rare Drop from Praying Mantis Nymphs.
Everlasting Hogstopper
The Everlasting Hogstopper is a Trinket that provides the Food Generation Perk, alleviating the need to constantly eat to survive. This Rare Trinket can only be found as a rare drop from chopping Billy Hogs or as an extremely rare drop from Cockroach Queens.
Fancy Fletchling
The Fancy Fletching is a Trinket that provides the Quickdraw Perk, reducing the Charge time for Charged Bow Shots by 15%. This Rare Trinket is only available as a rare drop when chopping Crow Feathers
Fluffy Dandelion Tuft
The Fluffy Dandelion Tuft is a Trinket that provides all the benefits of the Dandelion Tuft’s gliding ability, but without consuming the item. This Trinket is only found as a rare drop when chopping down Dandelions
Shivering Scale
The Shivering Scale is a Trinket that grants the Chilly Charge Perk, allowing Charged Attacks to deal Fresh Damage and Chill in an AoE. This Trinket is only available as a Rare Drop from Blue Butterflies
Stabby Stinger
The Stabby Stinger is a Trinket that grants the Finale Venom Perk, allowing the final hit of a melee combo to apply Venom. This Trinket is only available as a Rare Drop from Northern Scorpions, specifically the fully grown ones.
Spectacular Spicy Shard
The Spectacular Spicy Shard is a Trinket that grants the Spicy Attack Perk, adding a small amount of Spicy Damage to all melee attacks. This Trinket is only available as a Rare Drop from Hot Chacha Candies.
Suspicious Mint
The Suspicious Mint is a Trinket that grants the Fresh Attack Perk, adding a small amount of Fresh Damage to all melee attacks. This Trinket is only available as a Rare Drop from Fresh Mint Candies.
