Learn where to find the captured shinobi in the Claws of Awaji DLC for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. After receiving a cryptic hint from a puppet show, Naoe is on the hunt to find something very dear to her.
Finding a lead on the Captured Shinobi
After you come out of the loading screen from completing The Puppet Show, you’ll find yourself on a boat on Awaji’s eastern coast. Now that you’ve made it, you must discover the location of the captured shinobi.
Take the boat to the left and ride it to the shore. Use the nearby viewpoint to get a lay of the land. Your next task is to find someone who’s willing to tell you information about the captured shinobi.
You’ll have the option to talk to multiple villagers, but most of them will have nothing to say. Head southwest of the viewpoint near the river and you’ll find two carpenters. Hide in the hay pile and eavesdrop on them to learn about a report that can lead you to the shinobi.
The Report in the Samurai Residence
You learn that the Samurai Resident has a report for the carpenters. This area is heavily guarded and there are also numerous servants that may blow your cover.
Be wary of going underneath the houses through the hatches. It can be easy to miss the tripwire traps that’ll poison you if you trigger them.
You’ll find the report you’ll need in the house on the east side of the samurai residence. It’ll tell you that the door the carpenter made for the castle may have broken the shinobi’s spirit.
With a location determined, you must now make your way south to the Sumoto Castle’s Tenshu. This will end the quest and start the next quest, A Reunion.
