How Armor works in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Armor Sets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows consists of two gear pieces – an armor and a head piece. For Naoe, the armor pieces are light, for Yasuke – heavy. Naoe’s head piece is called Headgear and those are often various masks or hoods. Yasuke is wearing Helmets or Bands.
Character-specific inventory
Each character has their own unique selection of gear and you cannot mix and match them between Naoe and Yasuke.
Rarity Tiers
Each armor piece above common grade always comes with an engraving. The quality of items is defined by their level, which you can upgrade (costs resources) and rarity tier, which you cannot change.
The game makes an effort to match the gear you loot to your current level. The higher your level, the higher tier rarity items you will find. The top tier is Legendary.
What are Legendary Sets
Legendary sets are special piece of gear available only from a specific location or source, not as a random drop. They always come with a unique Legendary Engraving. Legendary armor parts usually have higher stats than the lower tiers, if compared at the same level.
How to change an item’s appearance
You can use the built-in Transmog feature to alter the appearance of any gear piece and replace it or parts of it with something else you own. This allows you to keep using lower-level gear that you outgrow quickly but love its appearance.
We have a thorough guide on how gear works in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which you can read for more in-depth overview and explanation of everything else you need to know. We also have a complete catalog of all Legendary sets available in the game.
Master Fisherman Set Visual Overview
The Master Fisherman set is very simple, visually speaking. The Kasa isn’t any different from what the fishermen use. The cloth of the outfit is a pale yellow, but what makes it stand out are the multiple waves painted all over the outfit.
Set and Engravings
The Master Fisherman Outfit set might not look like much, but its engravings make it a powerful combination to fight against multiple enemies at once and cheat death in the process.

How to get the Set
Both pieces are located in Yura. The headgear is in the shipyard, while the Outfit is the reward for raiding the Yura castle.
Master Fisherman’s Kasa Location
This one is a bit tricky compared to every other piece of legendary armor because it isn’t inside a chest, meaning that the map will never tell you about its existence. It is located inside a warehouse in Yura Castle. The key is on top of some wooden blocks. It will be on the right side of the entrance, above some supplies. The most important thing to know is that it only appears during Winter.
It comes with a note, reading:
Authority Unchallenged
Look at this thing. Who did Yasuhira plan to disguise himself as this time, I wonder? A Fisher king?
No matter, it is mine now and all shall see the folly of disloyalty to our cause.
Master Fisherman Outfit Location
The Master Fisherman Outfit is inside a small box under a tree that’s on the shore. It’s quite unusual to see a tree of this type and size next to the ocean, so you’ll spot it immediately.
It is the northwest part of Fukura Bay. The easiest way to find the spot is by using the Fukura Hachiman viewpoint as a reference. As you’ll see in the following map, it’s aligned with the spot where this outfit is located – directly north of the viewpoint.
There is a letter in the chest as well, reading:
An Escape Plan
This outfit was to see me safely off Awaji. I would become a wealthy fisherman, a master of his trade.
But the final piece is missing. Some cur stole the headpiece.
When I find those responsible, the revenge I will enact will echo across the ages.
Fisherman’s Hook Location
You get the Fisherman’s Hook Amulet as a reward for dealing with all Yasuhira’s Spies.
