Ubisoft just released the Assassin’s Creed: Shadows Fall Roadmap, which comes with a new quest, quality of life changes, additional animus challenges, and a few teasers of what’s to come later. The Fall Roadmap is divided into two dates, October 28 and November 25.
October 28
Parkour Update
This new feature removes parkour barriers, meaning that you can do side ejects and back ejects from any height. Also, performing a side eject down will leave you closer to the starting point while not gaining any height.

Vertical ledge grab is being updated to work on non-standing objects such as lanterns, poles, beams, or anything that is of a similar nature.

A new manual jump option should make navigating roofs a little easier. However, this isn’t a “full manual jump” as it only works from non-standing objects.
Directional Catch-Ledge is a new mechanic that lets Naoe catch any ledge that is nearby by pressing the left stick towards it. It works at any height and prevents Naoe from falling. They didn’t mention a distance requirement, but I assume that you have to be at a fairly close distance for it to work.

Corrupted Castles
This new Animus-themed activity makes previously-completed castles respawn with animus anomalies as enemies and different rewards. You can find up to five Corrupted Castles on the map per season.

November 25
Brand new quest
This free quest, is called A Puzzlement and leans more on the humorous tone. A Puzzlement brings former enemies who are trying to find a way to redeem themselves for their past transgressions.

Both Naoe and Yasuke must work together to train these guys; by doing so, they will learn new abilities from each other. Naoe learns how to do Yasuke’s War Kick while Yasuke can finally take down enemies in a non-lethal way.

To honor its name, A Puzzlement comes with a complicated environmental puzzle that, according to the video, holds answers to questions we have been asking for quite some time.
But the most interesting thing is the fact that Yasuke and Naoe will finally fight each other in a friendly duel. Obviously, you can duel as both.

Another special collaboration
A new collaboration is also coming on November 25th. Sadly, they didn’t reveal more about it, but I’m hoping to have something cool and unique, just like the collaborations they did with Balatro and Dead by Daylight.
Last but not least
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2, 2025! You’ll be glad to hear that Cross Progression will work on the Switch 2. The whole base game will be available while Claws of Awaji is coming around the New Year.
