Ghost of Yotei Hankyu Kits Guide: Every Hankyu Appearance and Where to Get It

Endonae by Endonae|

A catalog of all 6 Hankyu Kits in Ghost of Yotei, detailing their designs, locations, and how to get them.

What are Hankyu Kits

Hankyu Kits are a type of weapon kit allow you to customize the appearance of your Hankyu, Atsu’s shortbow. Weapon kits have no impact on your combat performance whatsoever.

Since the Hankyu is an optional secondary weapon, there aren’t nearly as many Hankyu Kits available compared to Sword Kits.

With a single exception, all Hankyu Kits are sold by specific vendors, either a Dye House or Ran the Bowyer.

All Hankyu Kits

We’ve included a brief visual description of each Hankyu Kit’s appearance and notable features, with particular attention paid to colors and other matching kits.

Atsu’s spammy shortbow weapon kits catalog is sorted in alphabetical order, not the order they appear in-game.

Dawn’s Reckoning

Dawn’s Reckoning is a black bow with yellow stripes and some white wrapping for the middle grip. It matches the Ashen Glow Yumi Kit.

You can purchase the Dawn’s Reckoning from Ran the Bowyer. You can find her at the main hub in most regions, but she’ll also walk up to you while you’re camping sometimes.

Emerald Scale

Emerald Scale combines multiple shades of green paint with white wrappings and small blue accent bands near the tips. There is no matching green Yumi Kit.

You can purchase Emerald Scale from the Green Dye House in Tokachi Range.

Spirit of Revenge

Spirit of Revenge features a smooth painted gradient from shiny red to black. The bow is accented by small blue bands near the tips. It matches the Hearth’s Blessing Yumi Kit.

Spirit of Revenge is the default kit that comes with the Hankyu, which you can buy from Ran the Bowyer. You can find her at the main hub in most regions, but she’ll also walk up to you while you’re camping sometimes.

Traveling Hunter

Traveling Hunter is a more basic bow design with a brown center and pale yellow tips. It looks as though the whole thing was once painted pale yellow and the paint has worn away with use. Apparently, the Ainu didn’t use longbows because there’s no matching Yumi kit.

You receive the Traveling Hunter for playing a game of Ku-e-shinok at the Ainu Hunting Grounds in Yotei Grasslands. It’s right next to the border to Ishikari Plain.

White Talon

White Talon is an ivory bow mended with gold kintsugi. It looks very pretty, but I can’t imagine it would still work. Bows only work because they’re flexible and hardened metal kinda interferes with that…

Ignoring practical issues, White Talon matches the Gilded Dawn Sword Kit, but sadly, there is no black kintsugi version of the Yumi to match the Gilded Night.

You can purchase the White Talon from the White Dye House in Yotei Grasslands.

Wildflower Prick

Wildflower Prick is a brown bow with some yellow wrappings and a beige grip. It’s the same as Dawn’s Reckoning, just with the black switched for brown.

Not sure why we needed two practically identical Hankyu kits, but the half-baked nature of these cosmetics is emblematic of Ghost of Yotei’s bow gameplay.

You can purchase the Wildflower Prick from Ran the Bowyer. You can find her at the main hub in most regions, but she’ll also walk up to you while you’re camping sometimes.
