What are Odachi Kits

Odachi Kits are a type of weapon kit allow you to customize the appearance of your Odachi, the greatsword katana you can unlock by learning The Way of the Odachi in Tokachi Range. Weapon kits have no impact on your combat performance whatsoever.

Since the Odachi is more of a semi-optional secondary weapon, there aren’t nearly as many Odachi Kits available compared to Sword Kits. It’s worth noting that you can’t use Odachi Kits on your two regular katanas, nor can you use Sword Kits on your Odachi.

Most Odachi Kits are sold by specific vendors or given as rewards after completing certain quests.

Golden Judgment

Golden Judgement features a matte black scabbard dusted with shiny golden ginkgo leaves. That ginkgo gold color persists on the hanging cord and grip.

You can purchase Golden Judgment from Ran the Bowyer after unlocking the Odachi. She doesn’t have a permanent location in Tokachi Range, so you’ll have to run into her while camping or visit the main hub in another region.

Odachi of Master Yoshida

Odachi of Master Yoshida features a cream colored scabbard and hanging cord wrapped in black leather strands. The grip is a teal green color with a tiny flower pattern. The kit matches the color scheme of the Blades on a Stream dye on the Onryo Armor the best.

You receive the Odachi of Master Yoshida for demonstrating mastery over the Odachi and completing Master Yoshida’s Final Lesson at his dojo in Tokachi Range after unlocking all Odachi skills in the tree.

Omens of the Aurora

Omens of the Aurora features a scabbard painted to look like an aurora with shiny blue and green streaks over pure black. The hanging cord features green string wrapped around blue string. The hilt is black with green and blue accents accompanying the copper metal accents throughout the kit.

Omens of the Aurora is the default Odachi Kit that comes with the Odachi you unlock at Master Yoshida’s Dojo in Tokachi Range at the end of the quest “The Way of the Odachi“.

Spirit of the Mountain

Spirit of the Mountain features a swirling mix of white and blue on the scabbard with a slightly off-white bumpy textured hilt that has a few inlaid gemstones. The textures and colors match Yoshitada’s Fourth Pearl quite well.

You can purchase Spirit of the Mountain from the White Dye House in Yotei Grasslands after unlocking the Odachi.

Strength of the Earth

Strength of the Earth blends together black and orange on both the scabbard and hilt. There are some subtle silver accents as well, but you won’t notice them first. The orange is quite a bit darker than most of the orange bits on relevant Armor dyes, making it hard to match to anything. If it were redder or yellower, it would be easier to use.

You can purchase the Strength of the Earth from the Oshima Coast Merchant at Matsumae Residences/Castle.

The Oni’s Glory

The Oni’s Glory is a larger Odachi Kit as it was custom made for the Oni. The scabbard features a partially polished red-brown wood, potentially kiri wood with gold metal accents continued onto the grip.

You can collect The Oni’s Glory from any Onryo Gift Altar after defeating the Oni in Ishikari Plain during the quest “The Tale of the Oni“, even if you have not yet unlocked the Odachi.
