How to start A Puzzlement
To start A Puzzlement, you must complete the first story arc and unlock Yasuke as a playable character. Additionally, you must defeat two of the Shinbakufu. Once you have done that, you’ll need to head to the Wakasa province.
Before you start, it’s recommended that you construct a Nando in your Hideout. Upgrade it to level 2 so you unlock the ability to skip time to 6 a.m. or 6 p.m., this will allow you to more efficiently complete the following quests.
When you’re ready, take a short trip northeast from Kyoto. You’re looking for two men standing in front of a strange stone door with mysterious glyphs.

The two men, Kane and Kinu, have actually encountered Naoe before. If you recall in one of Naoe’s memories, she fights off two poachers who trespassed in Iga. These two are the same poachers from all those years ago.

A Puzzlement
Kane and Kinu offer a strange object and a scroll with a riddle. These objects supposedly open the glyph door and now Naoe and Yasuke must figure out how to use it. You’ll gain the Riddle Scroll Beacon Trinket and Amulet for Naoe and Yasuke respectively.

While equipped, you’ll be alerted when you’re near a glyph. When you get within 200 meters of a glyph, the trinket will begin to glow and make a strange chime sound.
As you get closer to a glyph, it’ll get louder and start blinking more rapidly. If you’re using a controller, it’ll start vibrating as well. Follow the little embers that emit from the object to lead you to a nearby glyph.

Investigate the Strange Glyphs
The Riddle of the Vault in Wakasa scroll has a haiku that says the following:
Near Kajii’s courtyard
Marshlands are full of treasure
Vaulting their secrets
A short walk southeast of the glyph door will lead you to some marshlands that have a glyph on a rock. Observe it (zoom in as you would to mark targets) to activate it, then return to the door.

Talk to Kane and Kinu to wrap up the quest. They have more scrolls, but will only give them over if Naoe and Yasuke train them to be part of the Kakushiba ikki. For now, the mystery of the glyphs must wait as you need to train these two eager buffoons.
Teach a Dog New Kicks
Talk to Kane and Kinu to begin their “training”. You’ll play as Naoe and gain the Dropkick ability. Follow the prompts on the screen to use the Dropkick. Once successful, you’ll need to drop kick the two into some barrels to complete the quest.

Kane and Kinu need time to recover and you’ll need to speak to them again the following day. If you have a level 2 Nando in your hideout, meditate until it’s morning then talk to them as they don’t stray too far from the glyph door.
Headucation
This “training” exercise teaches the importance of quietly taking down an opponent where possible. This time you’ll play as Yasuke and gain the Takedown ability. Choke Kinu to knock him out, then do it again with Kane while undetected.

Battle of the Bests
On the following day, talk to Kane and Kinu where they’ll show off what they “learned”. After their display, they’ll demand a duel between Naoe and Yasuke to prove who is the best fighter. Pick your fighter and begin the spar!

You will not be using any of your armor or real weapons for this duel. If you chose Naoe, you’ll need to dodge all of Yasuke’s attacks as they’re all unblockable.

This fight is a bit easier for Yasuke as you have more rations available and can parry or block most of Naoe’s attacks. Just be prepared to keep up with her as she attacks fast and frequently.

After the duel, you’ll complete the mission and gain a Legendary Headgear and Helmet for Naoe and Yasuke, the Weed of Everlasting Love and the Headband of Super Ultra Toughness.

Now that you’ve completed these missions, you would have acquired all remaining Riddle Scrolls. It’s very unusual how these glyphs are glowing with a strange light. To unlock the mysteries of this door, you’ll need to find all the remaining glyphs.
