Siow by Siow|

Where to find all the Glyphs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Learn what all the riddles are, how to solve them to unlock the Glyph Door in Wakasa, and claim the rewards!

How to unlock the Glyphs

To unlock the Glyphs, you’ll need to complete the quest A Puzzlement. Kinu and Kanu will provide all the riddle scrolls you’ll need to find the glyphs after you train them.

Some of these glyphs are in areas that can be tricky to reach and may not have a direct path to access them. It’s a good idea to unlock nearby Viewpoint and Kakurega locations in case you need to backtrack to a fast travel point if you get stuck.

Whether you play as Naoe or Yasuke, be sure to equip the Riddle Scroll Beacon Trinket/Amulet as you hunt down the glyphs. Remember to use the Observe action to activate the glyphs!

Glyph Locations

There are a total of 13 Glyphs you can find throughout the map. If you want to read the riddles, you can find them in the Codex. Go to the Tutorials page, then scroll down to Riddle Scrolls.

Marshlands are full of treasure
Vaulting their secrets

Riddle of the Watchtower in Omi

Riddle of the Sky in Wakasa

Between two rivers
Edging forest and heaven
Closest to the sky

Easily the most annoying one to reach, you’ll have to fast travel to the Kuramadera Pagoda. Follow the trail going north of the pagoda and do your best to climb up the mountain.

The easiest way up is by a small pond between two lanterns. To the right of the bamboo is a place you can use to easily climb up the mountain, then make your way to the glyph.

Go on the east side on the island of Ogura Pond. Look for a thin waterfall and climb up said waterfall to find this glyph.

Open the Glyph Door

When you have activated all the glyphs, you can fast travel back to the Glyph Door in Wakasa. Keep your Riddle Scroll Beacon equipped to activate the door and find out what’s inside.

Within the cave is a treasure trove of easter eggs and actual treasures! Inside are various treasures originating from Nordic cultures, Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. This is all in reference to Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

Explore the cave and you’ll find two new weapons! The Isu-Forged Blade Tanto for Naoe, and the Isu-Forged Spear for Yasuke.

These Isu-Forged weapons will emit small embers and leave a golden trail as you swing. If you’ve played Odyssey, you might recognize these weapons from The Fate of Atlantis DLC for Assassin’s Creen Odyssey.

The fun doesn’t end there however. After spending a lot of time solving riddles (or just following this guide), you’ll be rewarded with even more riddles! Go behind the central obelisk in the cave and open a small chest.

Inside you’ll find a Blade of Yumminess Clue, as well as the Blade of Yumminess Scabbard. This weapon also comes from Odyssey, but it’s been broken apart and you’ll need to go on a quest to find them!

The Blade of Yumminess

There is one final hunt to this series of riddles, and the reward will be well worth it. Fortunately instead of finding 13 glyphs, you’re only looking for 3 pieces of the Blade of Yumminess.

Blade of Yuminess Clue

Beneath the watch of Akaiwa, the earth hides what a greedy eye cannot claim. Where the eagle’s shadow meets the rising sun, seek stone hidden from wind and from rain.

Travel to the Mount Akaiwa Viewpoint in the Tamba Province. Directly beneath the branch of the Viewpoint is a rusted chest containing the Blade of Yuminess and the Guard of Yumminess Clue.

Guard of Yumminess Clue

Where stars watch over Yuasa, seek beneath the pilgrim’s path. Past shrine lanterns guarding dusk lies a stone neither prayed nor seen.

Go to Myoken Shrine in the Kii Province. Behind the shrine and down the cliff is the chest containing the Guard of Yumminess and the Handle of Yumminess Clue.

Handle of Yumminess Clue

Below the gaze of Onyu Pass, waters conceal a treasure for the fearless. Seek the pool where sunlight never goes and shadows drift deep.

This one is incredibly easy find. Go to the Onyu Pass Overlook Viewpoint in Wakasa and dive down into the pond below. Within there is the Handle of Yumminess and the Saya of Yumminess Clue.

Saya of Yuminess Clue

Return to the Glyph Door and go inside as Yasuke. If you’ve been playing as Naoe, be sure to equip Yasuke with the Riddle Scroll Beacon Amulet to enter the cave. Interact with the tools along the right wall to reforge the Blade of Yumminess.
