Prepare for the Chrono Tower
Before you can access the Chrono Tower, you need to collect All Six Mech Parts and gather enough Green Energy Crystals to form the Memory Fruit. Once you’ve done this, talk to Duke at Base Camp to proceed to Chrono Tower.

Use the Scan Bots to find upgrades
It would be a good idea to activate the Scout Bots on Viewros and acquire any remaining upgrades. Once you leave with the troopers, there’s no going back. Take this time to gather any remaining upgrades if you feel you need them.
Make sure to complete your scans
If you missed a scan in the very start with the Space Pirate attack or failed to scan a boss, you won’t be able to get the 100% Scan rate. You will instead have to start a new game, ideally on Hard Mode to unlock even more Gallery assets.
If you’ve scanned all the bosses or enemies with temporary access, take a look around to see if there’s any lore or creatures you’ve missed along the way.
Enter Chrono Tower
When you’re ready, confirm to move forward. After entering Chrono Tower and going up the elevator, go up the Psychic Spider Ball Tracks and activate the terminal at the Pinnacle. A cutscene will play and Sylux will confront the group.
Sylux Fight: Phase 1
Through the power of nanomachines, Sylux will have three mechanical tentacles that will swing at you and the group. Take the time to scan him so you can add him to your Logbook.
During this first phase, your allies will fight along side you and attempt to shoot Sylux’s tentacles. You’re on healing duty, if any of them should get downed, drop everything you’re doing and get them back up with the Psychic Visor.

If you fail to heal your allies and they take damage while critical, it’ll be a game over and you’ll have to restart from the previous checkpoint. Aside from that, don’t spam your Legacy Suit’s invincibility mechanic, use it for stressful moments in the fight.
Destroy the Tentacles
You’ll need to shoot the green tips of the tentacles which is a bit easier said than done. Free aim is integral to shoot these tips while locked onto Sylux.
For now, shoot them down with the Psychic Beam. Once they’ve taken enough damage, pull them off with the Psychic Lasso.

When Sylux’s tentacles and shields are down, shoot Sylux with a stream of Psychic Beam shots. Save your Shot Ammo for later parts of the fight.
Fire Dragon Nano Arms
After getting his health down for the first time, Sylux will form Dragon Head Nano Arms to attack you. These will eventually wear off and he’ll return to using his green tentacles. Shoot the heads to reduce the duration they are used. If you manage to pop one, you’ll get health and ammo.

The Fire Dragon Heads will shoot lava onto the ground, avoid this for obvious reasons. Be prepared to side dash to avoid any fire beams they shoot at you. Focus your fire on the heads firing beams as they’re easier to hit.
If the center head is staring you down with a blue flash in its mouth, be prepared to side dash. This means it’s preparing to lunge at you. If it hits, you’ll be grabbed by the mouth and take damage as it chews on you. Spam the A button to break free if this happens.

When the tentacles have turned green again, Sylux will swing the tentacles around the arena. Jump over them until he stops and he’ll now have 4 tentacles. Now is a good time to use the Super Thunder Shot if you have it.

A fully charged Super Thunder Shot has homing capabilities and will seek out the tips if you aim it near them. Use Super Thunder Shot to take down two or more tentacles at a time, then rip them off. Use your Psychic Beam to hit Sylux and save your Shot Ammo for future tentacles.

Ice Dragon Nano Arms
The Ice Dragon Heads have the ability to suck you towards Sylux. If you get too close, they’ll take a swipe at you. Go backwards and the opposite direction of the arms to minimize the amount of sweeps they get on you.
The dragon heads sucking you in are easy targets, focus on them to more easily destroy them later on. Do not use Morph Ball during this attack as you’ll be pulled to them more quickly.

Get away from the ice spread shots that the dragon heads shoot out. These will freeze you and you’ll have to break free as soon as possible to avoid excess damage.

When Sylux gets his green tentacles back, he’ll use a new trick. He’ll rapidly spin them around and come charging towards you. Keep him away from your allies and double jump to the side when he gets close to avoid getting hit.

Sylux will now have 5 tentacles. Pop them with the Super Thunder Shot, rip them off, and shoot him to see his final dragon head form.
Thunder Dragon Nano Arms
This is easily the most dangerous form of the nano arms. Sylux will gather energy and purple circles appear on the floor. When Sylux is done charging, lightning will hit the purple spots.

You have to hope your allies get out of these purple areas, otherwise they’ll take massive damage. This is made even more difficult if one of them is already down as getting hit by this attack will kill them.
Aside from that, the dragon heads will shoot balls of electricity that bounce towards you. Just focus on keeping everyone alive until the dragon heads turn to green tentacles. When Sylux gets to around 60% health, a cutscene will start.
Sylux Fight – Phase 2
For the second phase of the fight, you’ll be fighting Sylux in a wormhole tunnel. Your Left Stick will only shift you up, down, left, and right. There is no going forward and you need to dodge the walls of energy that Sylux summons.

There isn’t much you can do when he shoots out wavy beams of energy at you. You can use a charge of invincibility for the walls or this if needed. Otherwise, move to avoid it to minimize contact.

The Super Thunder Shot works its usual wonders in this phase. Hit him with it between his abilities for good damage.
His trickiest attack in this phase is when he launches two spinning pillars at you. Use the Control Beam to get past the pillars and hit Sylux. This will remove the pillars and leave him open to attack.

Sylux Fight – Phase 3
Now it’s time to fight Sylux one on one. Most his abilities can be side dashed or jumped over. Many of his attacks here are just more advanced versions that the Psy-bot Sylux copies used.

After he takes some damage, he’ll transform into the Lockjaw (his equivalent to the Morph Ball). Scan this for your Logbook as he’s charging his boost attack.
He’ll dash into you and take away an energy tank from your health pool. Turn into a Morph Ball and Boost Ball into him until he drops the Energy Tank. Roll into the Energy Tank to pick it back up.

It’s possible to lose an Energy Tank entirely if you’re too slow. If he returns to normal form when an Energy Tank is attached, it will not be permanently lost.
Sylux will create a black hole and charge it. If given the chance, he’ll throw it at you and deal massive damage. Any shots fired while he’s charging the black hole will be sucked into it.

Use the Control Beam to hit Sylux as he charges the black hole. The black hole will still suck in your Control Beam a bit, so you’ll need to fight against it to hit Sylux.

If you see Sylux floating and charging green lightning, you should be very concerned. If this hits, the beam will lock onto you for the duration and rapidly drain your health. The moment he moves his arm cannon forward, side dash to avoid this attack.

With these tips in mind, you should be able to defeat Sylux. Depending on how many goals you’ve completed, you’ll get one of two endings. To get the True Ending, you’ll need to scan all Lore objects, scan all creatures, and collect all the inventory items.
If this is your first time completing the game, you’ll unlock Hard Mode. Completing the game 100% on Hard Mode will unlock more of the Gallery on the Main Menu. It’s also a good chance to scan anything you missed such as Space Pirates or a boss.
