Hasbro’s Mos Eisley Cantina Pack delayed, Ahsoka’s birthday, Star Wars Nites return to Disneyland and everything that happened in the week of January 24 – January 30, 2026.
Daisy Ridley and Taika Waititi’s commends
Daisy Ridley and Taika Waititi are promoting their respective new films, We Bury the Dead and Fing!. But even if they are promoting other stuff, the press took the opportunity to ask them (in separate interviews) about their Star Wars films.
Both provided an answer that is vague, but that’s definitely better than saying that those projects are dead or put in the freezer. In the case of Waititi, Kathleen Kennedy mentioned that he turned in a script for the movie, and his response reflects this.
“The stakes are very high, and thereโs serious things going on, but thereโs also a lot of fun to be had in those films. Thatโs what I was trying to bring back. I was trying to work in a world that was a little bit separate from that because theyโve got so many things going on within that space. For me to do something there, it would need to be a little different and a little bit more its own thing.” – Taika Waititi for Variety
On the other hand, Ridley reaffirmed her excitement about being in it but refrained from teasing anything.

“I think whatโs lovely is people are excited because they want to see (the films) which is great. โฆ Itโs really wonderful to be part of something where people maybe donโt know as much. And I love that people want to know, but it will also be a great surprise then when the thing is done.” – Daisy Ridley for USA Today
With the leadership change in Lucasfilm, things might be a little chaotic in the first months, so I don’t blame any of them for refusing to give specific answers. Nontheless, fans and probably investors are very eager to learn what’s the plan now that Filoni is in charge.
Star Wars Celebration might not be happening until 2027, but I don’t think Lucasfilm can afford to spend the entirety of 2026 without giving any details about what’s next. Hopefully, we learn more about everything around May 4th.
Habsro’s Mos Eisley Cantina Pack delayed
Two weeks ago, we talked about some of the new Black Series and Vintage Collection reveals and their pre-order dates. Pre-orders for the Vintage Collection Mos Eisley Cantina Pack was supposed to begin on January 28, but it has been delayed until February 19th.

As for the Black Series figures, Lord Starkiller is still supposed to be available for pre-order on February 4 while Taun We, Watto, and the Geonosian Warrior are now up for pre-order.

Happy Birthday, Ahsoka!
January 29th marked the 18th “birthday” of Ahsoka Tano. As a small celebration, Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano in all animated series, went to Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World to commemorate the birthday of one of the most important characters in the franchise.

Season 2 of Ahsoka is coming out this year but the specific date is yet to be revealed. I think that revealing the release date would have been the cherry on top but we’ll have to wait for an important date like May 4th.
Andor is coming to Galaxy of Heroes
Galaxy of Heroes is a turn-based game that allows you to create a team with multiple characters, fight against epic bosses, improve your heroes, command starships in space battles, and face opponents of multiple eras of Star Wars.
You can create your own squad from a roster of over 250 characters that incorporates characters of all Star Wars media. In a recent interview with Variety, executive producer of Lucasfilm Games, Orion Kellog revealed that Dedra Meero, Major Partagaz, and other Andor characters will join the game’s roster. Though no specific date was revealed.

Star Wars Nite is returning to Disneyland for four nights of experiences, themed food, entertainment, and characters from our favorite franchise. Attendants are allowed to dress in costume (as long as they stick to Disneyland’s guidelines).
Some of the things you can expect to see in this unique event are: Captain Phasma looking for Resistance spies, a Lightsaber Instructional lesson, Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes (the Cantina Band) performing their classics, Darth Maul claiming the Tomorrowland Terrace for the Sith, and much more.

The Mandalorian in knot-style
The Star Wars Kids YouTube channel released a short that features Grogu, Din Djarin, and the Razor Crest in a knot-style animation. The 1:54 minute short is advertising The Mandalorian. While it advertises the series, I believe that we’ll see an increase in this type of marketing due to The Mandalorian and Grogu movie that’s releasing in a few months.
Darth Maul: Black, White, and Red
During his days as a Sith Apprentice, Darth Maul was sent to investigate a strange disappearance of a cult from a prison ship. What Maul is about to find is nothing but nightmare fuel. What the aspiring Sith Lord experiences in this issue might be what starts to break Maul’s blind loyalty towards Darth Sidious.
Darth Maul: Black, White, and Red was first released in 2024. This issue includes all four numbers and puts them into a single issue. You can check out my reviews of the Boba Fett: Black, White, and Red series to have a better idea of what to expect from this. Release date: January 27, 2026.
