What are Sumi-E Paintings

Sumi-E is an ancient Chinese art form that made its way over to Japan in the 14th Century through Zen Buddhist Monks. It uses black ink painted with brushes onto paper and uses water to dilute the ink and produce gradients.

In Ghost of Yotei, you can capture some of the most beautiful places in Ezo using the touch pad on your controller to mirror Atsu’s brush strokes on paper.

You’ll get a unique Vanity Item, either a Helmet or Mask, each time you complete a Sumi-e painting and earn progress toward upgrading Father’s Charm.
