As part of Update 2.0, released on February 17th, 2026, there are 5 new Unique items scattered across the Living Lands. We’ll show you what each one does and where to find it.
Unique Quarterstaff Locations
Many other Unique items were added with Update 1.5, but Update 2.0 added a new weapon type, the quarterstaff, a Gandalf-y two-handed melee weapon for Wizards, and there are 5 scattered throughout the Living Lands.
Staff of Pestilence
Staff of Pestilence is a Unique Quarter Staff that can be Enchanted to make Power Attacks amplify the debuff buildup already present on whatever you hit, or have a chance to release a wave of poison daggers if you hit a Poisoned enemy.

Elemental Contagion
Power Attacks deal low Elemental Accumulation of the same type of any Elemental Accumulation or Status Effect on you to the hit enemy

Elemental Plague
Power Attacks deal moderate Elemental Accumulation of the same type of any Elemental Accumulation or Status Effect on you to the hit enemy

Toxic Barrage
Power Attacks on a Poisoned enemy have a 30% chance of releasing a wave of poisoned daggers
Poison Lash
Hits deal +10% bonus Poison Damage
Staff of Pestilence pairs well with Perseverance (Wand) and most unspecialized Grimoires you’ll encounter in the early game, like the Grimoire of Greater Elements.
You can loot the Staff of Pestilence from a corpse in the back of the spider nest near the Godless Altar and Emerald Stair Gatehouse in the Southern Embrace of Dawnshore.

Spark of Inspiration
Spark of Inspiration is an electrifying quarterstaff that can be Enchanted to passively upgrade all your Shock Spells and reduce Essence their cost or make it so Power Attacks on a Shocked enemy can cast the Returning Storm spell.

Hylea’s Call
Shock Spells are cast as if they are +1 Rank. Shock Spells have -20% Essence Cost

Hylea’s Song
Shock Spells are cast as if they are +2 Ranks. Shock Spells have -40% Essence Cost

Storm Bringer
Power Attacks on a Shocked enemy have a 30% chance of creating a Returning Storm
Shocking Lash
Hits deal +10% bonus Shock Damage
Spark of Inspiration is meant for burgeoning animancers and pairs perfectly with Minoletta’s Conduit (Wand) and Grimoire of Storms.
You can find a Spark of Inspiration in the house with the roof caved in at the Abandoned Farms in the Rolling Crags of Emerald Stair.

Dread of Winter
Dread of Winter is a chilly quarterstaff that can be Enchanted to passively upgrade all your Frost Spells and reduce Essence their cost or make it so Power Attacks on a Frozen enemy can cast the Blizzard spell.

Rymrgand’s Favor
Frost Spells are cast as if they are +1 Rank. Frost Spells have -20% Essence Cost

Rymrgand’s Blessing
Frost Spells are cast as if they are +2 Ranks. Frost Spells have -40% Essence Cost

Ice Storm
Power Attacks on a Frozen enemy have a 30% chance of creating a Blizzard
Freezing Lash
Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage
Dread of Winter is meant for disciples of Ryngrim and pairs perfectly with the Whisper of Exiles (Wand) and Grimoire of Rime.
You can purchase Dread of Winter from Ihaka, proprietress of The Thrifty Pig, in a cave respectable shop on the border between the Deadfall Highlands and Shark’s Teeth in Shatterscarp. Word has it that she’s got wares if you’ve got coin.

It amazes me that this lady sells this staff rather than finding it in Ryngrim’s Domain or that frozen grave in Shark’s Teeth that STILL has no unique item inside. Maybe Ihaka stole it.
Cindered Branch
The Cindered Branch is an incendiary quarterstaff that can be Enchanted to passively upgrade all your Fire Spells and reduce Essence their cost or make it so Power Attacks on a Burning enemy can cast the Meteor Shower spell.

Magran’s Rage
Fire Spells are cast as if they are +1 Rank. Fire Spells have -20% Essence Cost

Magran’s Wrath
Fire Spells are cast as if they are +2 Ranks. Fire Spells have -40% Essence Cost

Rain of Fire
Power Attacks on a Burning enemy have a 30% chance of creating a Meteor Shower
Burning Lash
Hits deal +10% bonus Fire Damage
Cindered Branch follows the trend established by the other quarterstaves and pairs perfectly with Cruel Command (Wand) and Grimoire of Embers.
You’ll find the Cindered Branch on some wood scaffolding at the Abandoned Mine, east of the Ancient Lakebed, in Shatterscarp. The area is accessible from the main road that leads to Thirdborn. Look for a prominent fossil sticking out of the rocks.

The staff is up near the top of the mine, below the highest crane. Check the image below for a path from the base of the mine.

Concelhaut’s Cudgel
Concelhaut’s Cudgel is a vampiric quarterstaff that can be Enchanted to make Power Attack kills grant a bunch of Temporary Health or have a chance of casting Flurry of Blows, the lvl 20 Ranger ability.

Soul Siphoning
Power Attack kills grant you moderate Temporary Health

Soul Harvesting
Power Attack kills grant you high Temporary Health

Thirst for Power
Power Attack kills have a 30% chance of casting Flurry of Blows
Draining Strikes
Restore 2% of the damage you deal as Health
This quarterstaff doesn’t have direct synergy with a Wizard playstyle, though both enchantments make it more practical to engage in melee combat as a Wizard.
You can find Concelhaut’s Cudgel parting the lavafall on the west side of Mt. Forja Quarry in the Primordial Depths of Galawain’s Tusks. You’ll need to make a running jump to reach it.

The devs mentioned on their 2.0 livestream that they planned to add 4-5 Unique quarterstaves. Since 5 have been discovered, including one in each of the main regions of the game, I think it’s safe to conclude that all new Uniques have been found.
While the newly added weapon type is a great idea, Avowed’s Wizardry remains buggy and frustrating in 2.0. It is something you have to be mindful of.
