Harrison Ford receives the SAG-AFTRA’s Life Achievement Award

The SAG-AFTRA awarded Harrison Ford with the Life Achievement Award, the highest honor an actor can get. During his acceptance speech, Ford showed an emotional side that is rarely seen.

With humility, he accepted the award while also thanking many people, including George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, who gave him the role that finally launched his career after 15 years of struggling.

I often found these speeches dull and superficial, but Ford’s included a message of kindness. It was a genuine and even vulnerable speech from the heart, and you can tell that by how his voice almost broke multiple times. Congratulations to Harrison Ford for a more than deserved award!

LEGO Star Wars Smart Play sets are officially out

Eight new LEGO Star Wars Smart Play sets are available for purchase in the US, UK, France, Germany, Poland, and Australia. This new technology is powered by the Smart Brick, which is powered by a custom-made chip that happens to be smaller than a LEGO stud.

The SMART Brick has built-in sensors, accelerometers, light/sound sensors, a miniature speaker driven by an onboard synthesiser, and wireless charging. Paired with the new SMART Tags and SMART Minifigures, LEGO sets will react to your actions with sounds and behaviors.

The eight sets available are Luke’s Red Five X-Wing ($89.99), Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter ($69.99), the Throne Room Duel & A-Wing ($159.99), Millennium Falcon ($99.99), AT-ST Attack on Endor ($49.99), Luke’s Landspeeder ($39.99), Yoda’s Hut and Jedi Training ($69.99), and Mos Eisley Cantina ($79.99).

Chris Kempshall’s new Star Wars book is about pilots and the Galactic Civil War

In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Star Wars Explained, Dr. Chris Kempshall revealed that his new book is titled “Star Wars: Star Pilots” and is set to be released on October 6, 2026.

Kempshall is the author of The Rise of the Galactic Empire, a deep reflection on the Empire’s origins, power structure, and the reasons behind its inevitable collapse. What adds an extra layer of coolness to this title is the fact that Kempshall is an actual historian.

That approach returns to Star Pilots, with the story revolving around Wedge Antilles and other pilots who fought during the Galactic Civil War.
