The now grown man Jake Lloyd suffers from schizophrenia
Once a promising Jedi, now a former actor and a grown man, Jake Lloyd is suffering from Schizophrenia, his mother revealed. He played the little Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Manace in 199 and is now a grown 27 years old man.
After his arrest in June of last year for “reckless driving, failure to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license”. He spend nearly an year (~10 months) in jail until he was moved to a hospital recently after being diagnosed with Schizophrenia.
According to Jake’s mother, in an interview for TMZ:
authorities reached the conclusion he needed help more than punishment, because he suffers from schizophrenia … thus the move
After his performance in the Star Wars movie, his life has never been easy. Currently there’s no timetable for his release. I wish him all best and quick recovery!
