Last Friday Andi Gutierez, host of The Star Wars Show, sat down for an extensive live Q&A interview with Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in the new Star Wars Trilogy. The actress was very honest and generous answering all kinds of questions.

The one question that stood above all others came from a Twitter fan, who wanted to know “Besides the longing for her parents, what would be another major weakness of her character?” Daisy’s answer was a bit unexpected, perhaps. She does not believe Rey’s longing for her parents to be a weak side of her character. Exactly the opposite – she thinks this is a wonderful perk that gives her strength. The actress also added that she does not believe in people’s weaknesses in general.

When asked if Kylo Ren is becoming the ultimate villain with no possibility of turning back, she countered reminding us of his “good deed” when he saved her. Despite the fact that him saving her meant he had to kill somebody, Daisy believes this was a bright moment in Kylo’s personal story. There is still a chance for Kylo to be redeemed and turned back to the Light Side, the actress said.

Daisy is currently enjoying a bit of a quiet time after all the buzz in the end of 2017 around The Last Jedi’s premiere and her endless travels to promote the movie, participate in all kinds of ceremonies and interviews.
