Anthem is available on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One in two editions – Standard and Legion of Dawn. This guide will help you make up your mind which edition is best for you and why. Both come with special rewards if you have pre-ordered the game.
Anthem is scheduled to launch on 22nd of February 2019. The game comes in two different packages – Standard Edition and Legion of the Dawn Edition. Below you can see the differences between the two. First, let me tell you who and what Legion of Dawn was in the Anthem Lore.
During the darkest chapters of human history, the ancestors known as The Legion of Dawn led humanity through these hard times as heroes, fulfilling missions and tasks similar to what the Freelancers have to do in the modern days of the world. Legends say that the Legion of Dawn built several settlement and encampments, such as Fort Tarsis. These ancestors knew a lot more about the world we live in than the humanity remembers or has discovered today. In time, a group of people splintered off from the Legion and went on to become the Freelancers.
The Standard Edition (€59,99) includes:
- Anthem Base Game
- VIP access to the pre-launch demo on Jan 25 (pre-order)
- Founders player banner (pre-order)
- Ranger: Legion of Dawn legendary armor pack and weapon (pre-order)
The “Legion of Dawn Edition” (€79.99) includes:
- Anthem Base Game
- VIP access to the pre-launch demo on Jan 25 (pre-order)
- Founders player banner (pre-order)
- Ranger: Legion of Dawn legendary armor pack and weapon
- Ranger Javelin Exosuit legendary gear attachment
- Colossus: Legion of Dawn legendary armor pack and weapon
- Storm: Legion of Dawn armor pack
- Interceptor: Legion of Dawn legendary armor pack
- Anthem digital soundtrack
Both packages include the base game, of course. The In-Game bonuses included in the second one are cosmetics, like the armor outfits for example. The gear pieces might give a slight advantage to the players like the gear attachment and the weapons sure sound like a performance boost. Those are only for the very early levels (up to 7-8), though.
Here is a quote from Bioware regarding the pre-order bonuses:
The armor pieces are cosmetic – so you can use them however long you want. The weapon will probably have a shelf life (they’ll give you a little bump at the start, and you’ll move on after a while).

If even this doesn’t unlock the rewards for you, check out the Anthem Problems and Fixes megapost I keep updated regularly. If your problem is not solved there, then I suggest you contact EA’s Customer Support.
BioWare plans to support Anthem’s development with the purchase of the game as well as purchases from the in-game store after launch. There are no paid DLCs or Expansions announced at this time. All the post-launch content is free to all players. The store will not feature performance-boosting items, only cosmetics.

ANTHEM Update 1.0.4 Beyond the First Impressions
