Even before its release last Fall, Monolith announced what packages and DLCs would be included in the second game about the ranger from Mordor Talion – Middle-earth: Shadow of War. The base game was just the beginning. Two additional paid packs were added, introducing two new orc tribes (Slaughter and Outlaw), new legendary gear, new missions and even more diversity among the orcs of Mordor. Then two paid Story DLC packages were released. The Blade of Galadriel and Desolation of Mordor attempted the complete the missing gaps in the main story by telling a side-story of two of the characters Talion interacts with. All of the additional DLCs were included in the Season Pass.

Since its launch, the game has changed significantly. Let me remind you that last month the devs pushed out the final major content update for the game. From this point on we can only expect small hot-fixes that deal with bugs and maybe some small balancing issues here and there. The July Patch brought additional 20 new levels to rise Talion’s level cap from 60 to 80. It also introduced new grind-able abilities for each one of the Ability Categories that will ensure you can keep progressing even during the EndGame.

Here is what’s included in the Shadow of War Definitive Edition:

If you already own these or if you have purchased the Gold or Platinum editions, you do not need to purchase this one. The price of the Definitive Edition is expected to be $59.99 and it will be available starting 28th of August 2018 and will be available for PC (Steam), Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is, of course, still available in all of its original editions. The Definitive Edition is pretty much the same as the Gold Edition.
