Ubisoft revealed their ambitious plans for the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Post Launch. The Roadmap includes Two Story Expansions, Free Updates and In-Game Events

Ubisoft announced the Roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Post Launch content. There will be two major story expansions with three separate missions in each one of them. In between there will be Free Content Updates to all owners of the game. Regular daily and weekly In-Game events will try to keep you entertained for a long period of time. The developers stated they want to keep players happy and actively engaged with the game for at least six months.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available in several different editions. Each one of them includes various bonuses and perks to justify the rising price tag from Standard, through Silver to Gold and even beyond.
Game director Scott Philips confirmed the studio views the story of Odyssey as just a starting point: “From the beginning, we intended the release of game to be just the beginning of our players’ odyssey”.
In 2018 and 2019 the studio plans to give more story content in a brand new episodic format, similarly to how TV Show season schedule, Ubisoft is going to release new content every few weeks. “It’s out most ambitious post-launch support ever for Assassin’s Creed” – Scott adds
SEASON PASS CONTENTS
The Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey includes two story arcs of three episodes each – Legacy of the First Blade and THe Fate of Atlantis. With the additional content the studio promises to allow players to dive even deeper into the lore of Assassin’s Creed and Ancient Greece. Episodes from each story arc will be six weeks apart with more free content in between them (more on that later).
Legacy of the First Blade’s first episode will be released in December 2018. In this story arc you will get to fight alongside the first hero to wield the hidden blade. You’ll also find out why the Assassins choose to fight from the shadows.
The Fate of Atlantis contains another three episodes, the first of which is set to launch in Spring 2019. Playing through this, you will encounter godly creatures and discover secrets about the sunken city.
If you own the Season Pass, you will get Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered edition for free.
FREE POST-LAUNCH CONTENT
There will be regular free content updates, available to all players, who own the game, no matter which edition. The Lost Tales of Greece are series of free quests to be released between the DLC episodes. They will feature old faces and new characters from the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Recurring In-Game events, similarly to what you may remember from Origins, are going to be available in Odyssey too.
Each week a new Epic Mercenary or Epic Ship will spawn. These challenging encounters will provide interesting and valuable loot and rewards.
New Daily and Weekly contracts will be available for you to pick up, complete and earn a special currency. You can then visit the Oikos of the Olymopians merchant NPC to trade it for shiny new gear and other rare or exotic items. His stock will be updated with new items every week.
New Game Plus Mode has also been announced. Much like in other games, it will allow you to replay Odyssey while you keep all of your skills, progression and armor from the first playthrough. Let’s not forget, Ubisoft claims Odyssey is a fully fleshed out RPG with meaningful choices. Starting a NG+ will allow you to see what differences your actions can bring to the world around you and the outcome of your missions and interactions with other characters.
