Oikos of the Olympians and How to Get Orichalcum Guide in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey

Oikos of the Olympians is a special merchant in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. He sells premium Epic and Legendary gear for Orichalcum!

Similar to the merchant in Assassin’s Creed Origins, here in Odyssey you will also find a special one, who is willing to sell you unique and expensive items. This is Sargon.

His merchandise is updated on a weekly schedule and consists of only Epic and Legendary items plus a mistery item (loot box type of thing). Sargon isn’t a regular vendor, though. He only trades in a special rare metal, called Orichalcum.

In this guide I will help you find Sargon (Oikos of the Olympians) and share with you the best ways to earn the special currency he requires for his goods.

Where to find Oikos of the Olympians

The image above shows you the exact location of Sargon on the map of Ancient Greece In-Game.

Located near the docks of Pilgrim’s Landing in Kirrha, Phokis, you will find the special merchant of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. His name is Sargon and he trades premium gear and items not for Drachmae, but asks for a rare metal called Orichalcum.

What can you buy from Sargon

The items he offers change each week on Tuesday. When you open to see his collection, in the right corner above the items there is a timer that shows for how long these exact items will be available.

The merchant offers 2 Epic Items + 2 Premium (Store) Epic or Legendary items in its weekly selection (changed in March 2019).  Pricing is always unique per item, but in general an Epic is worth around 40-50 Orichalcum, while a Legendary item costs double – 80 Orichalcum. The types of items vary between armor, weapons, ship decorations and more.

If you feel like gambling, there is another option for you – the Olympian Gift. This item costs 20 Orichalcum and has a random Epic or Legendary item, but you cannot tell what you get before you purchase. The good thing about the Olympian Gift is that you can get items that are otherwise only available via Helix credits (items from the game store).

The rare material Sargon trades for – Orichalcum, is actually a name of a real ancient metal. It’s mentioned in several ancient writings, including the story of Atlantis – according to Wikipedia.

Orichalcum has been considered second only to gold in value and has been incredibly rare. Its name, translated from Greek, means “mountain copper” and was primarily found in mines in many parts of Atlantis.

In Assassin’s Creed the easiest and best way to get Orichalcum is to pick up and complete the special Daily/Weekly quests. Find a notice board (they are available in most cities and villages) and pick up the missions marked with a blue circular icon – the symbol for Orichalcum.

The missions are a bit tougher than the regular side quests. However, considering the fact that you will be mostly be focusing on gathering Orichalcum after you have completed the game, your will be high enough level and well equipped to take the challenge.

Some of the missions on the notice board may have high level requirements, so it is really not recommended for you to start doing them too early. Not because you can’t, but because they are simple “fetch” quests and may cause boredom after a while.

The metal can also be found in many places throughout the world, usually in higher altitudes and lesser populated areas. There is no way you will find it in the bigger cities or near them. If you don’t have the time to roam around and look for it, you can purchase an Orichalcum Map from the Store. Its price is ~300 Helix Credits.

The daily and weekly missions reward you with more than you need for Sargon, so I would not advise you to spend real money on this map. Especially considering the fact that these nodes do not re-spawn later.
